Photos: 200L student of Gombe State who suffers from hearing disability has a CGPA of 3.16

Adnan Muktar Tutunwada shared this post with the hope that Governor of Gombe State Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo would assist the young man.
"My good friend Yusuf Kumo paid me a visit, he is nice and hardworking. He is suffering from deaf illness for the past five years but that doesn't stop his ambition of becoming a political scientist, he is currently a level 200 student of Gombe state university, his last CGPA was 3.16 and all efforts of curing this proved abortive here in Nigeria.
His last medical check up was in Aminu kano Teaching Hospital where an ENT specialist suggested to seek For medication abroad because of lack of some facilities here in Nigeria. The ENT assured him that his illness can be cured, it is because of lack in facilities here. Our discussions was through writing as he told me that his condition is deteriorating to the extent he can't hear until you shout very well, he writes English and Hausa excellently, I am highly impressed with his intelligence. When I asked him about of whether he seeks for medical assistance from the state government he answered yes, the government promise to assist him but he don't know when. I am using this medium to plead with His Excellency Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo or any other philanthropist in Gombe state to please assist this young guy so that he can continue to pursue with his studies in good health and for a better future."

My course mate in school was totally deaf, hearing aids didn't even work for her. Guess what her other senses very very sharp, she will read your lips when you are communicating with her and she graduated with one of the best results I think 4.0 because she spent time reading, reading and reading. Now she is in the US doing her M.Sc and will round up soon. The only thing stopping you from achieving what you want is YOU.
