Don't postpone or cancel your trip, Nigeria is not on the list of Executive Order on Immigration- US Embassy in Nigeria says

Following reports of alleged denial of some Nigerians entry into the US by some US immigration officers, the US embassy in Nigeria has released this statement saying Nigerians with valid visas should not postpone or cancel their trips as they are not on the list of Executive Order on Immigration. The statement reads:

"The U.S. Embassy in Abuja wishes to clarify that there is no reason for Nigerians with valid visas to postpone or cancel their travel to the United States. Nigeria is not named in the Executive Order on Immigration issued on March 6, and there is no prohibition against Nigerian lawful permanent residents or persons with a valid visa or other U.S. government authorization from entering the United States".

What explanation do you have for those who the US immigration sent back and having their passports damaged just because they did not fly direct to New York? The US government is just making more enemies for the country without them knowing.

The people that were turned back should reach out to Abike on social media. This may help their case and they may get a free ticket back. US embassy no wan loose business. Now they will take Nigerians seriously. In a way Abike talking about it has created awareness of this issue.
Again, if you were treated a certain type of way, reach out to Abike, make US embassy caution border patrol about Nigerians. We can't pay so much money, vgo through the rigorous process of getting a visa, gather hard earned money to buy ticket, only to be treated like a goat by border patrol and they sit in their offices and say nothing is wrong. Damn!!!!!!!

I don't understand this thing again it seems nigeria name is secretly given because people have been sharing their ugly experience

Can somebody pls tell Abike Dabiri that her advice is NOT needed pls!! She said advice is no policy, yes it isn't; but not from a senior special assistant to the president. The weight of her office will make it a 'heavy advice'. How is that hard for her to understand for God's sake !!?? hian!

Why won't they say that when they are making money through visa and air tickets. Please ignore them even on the visas it's clear they are ust horribly people. Boycott would make it clear to them the value of Nigerians to them.

But they keep sending them back. Is Nigerian government going to ask the US authority why they keep sending it's citizen back????

Those people are not sayimg the truth, some of them lied about their purpose of entering into the u.s. homeland contacted the people/entities and they were told they weren't expecting such people. Nigerians always say the truth and dont mislead others.

People entering into the u.s should be careful what they have on their social media, else they will be sent back

Anonymous said...

Ask those people to tell you the truth why they are sending them back. They weren't just smart
