Lady left in shock after RRS officers assisted her and her colleagues on third mainland bridge without collecting any cash gift

IG user, Ms_rubbie shared an amazing experience she had with some Rapid Response Squad Police Officers who yesterday night, helped her colleague fix his flat tyre. After the RRS officers got the tyre fixed for them, they refused to take pictures with them and also refused any cash gifts from them. She wrote :
"So while coming back from work today with four of my colleagues, we had a flat tyre just before 3rd mainland bridge around Simpson's bridge, we all know dat z d wrongest place to have issues with your car, 2 guys already came to us to help. Hmm, u know all dose guys na, d next thing we saw one RRS patrol van driving by.
Of course we flagged dem down, not cos we believed in dem but just for safety sake. D officer beside d driver stopped and came down. My colleague@gbo_lee explained what happened to him and amazingly this guy made calls, another patrol van came by and he instructed two of the officers to stay with us and the remaining 2 drove my colleague with the tyre to fix it. U know another amazing tin, dis same officer already instructed his guys to pay for fixing the tyre, like m still shocked. Dey refused any form of payment. Dey even refused to take pictures, my colleague had to take a sneak pic selfie. All dey requested for was for us to share to the public that "police is your friend" we actually did a research and found out that our angel in officer form is none other than the commanding officer of Lagos RRS. To think he was humble enough to do all dat, nigeria police has really changed #policeisyourfriend #rrs#lagos#ekonibaje

Because you met the commanding officer???? Why not say same after meeting a subordinate officer! Abeg make we hear word! Pig remains a pig.

Police is your friend oooo. But not mine. My sour experience with them is enough.

Tnk God oh

Thank God for your experience lady, however I find it funny when one simply states "Nigerian police has finally changed" simply because of ONE experience forgetting thousands of experience other Lagosians/Nigerians have witnessed. I expect a police commander to do such anyway and not a fellow DPO/low-level Police Officer.

Amazing story though, but remember the old saying, "friends today can be enemies tomorrow. Though not my prayer for our dear security forces

just like u said he is the commander!!!!
They did all that just because of him!!
Senior ranking officers in the Armed forces of Nigeria are always nice the low ranking ones and recruits are the wicked souls!!!!!

there is no such thing as police being your friend in this country ooo..

Those are just the microscopic few good ones in the NPF. We all know they're not our friend, police is not your friend.

This Ambode guy is really trying o! My husband and I were just discussing how the guy is getting things done silently.
He's truly working, without making too much noise. Roads are getting built, things are being done effectively. And to think I expected the worst when he came to power.
That's life o...
Hmmmm... Well done.
God bless all the works of your hands and God bless the RRS.

This is interesting and commendable. I pray that the spirit of patriotism and the zeal to serve with integrity abound in all public servants. God bless Nigeria.

THE LAGOS STATE RRS COMMANDER TUNJI DISU AND LAGOS STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE FATAI OWOSENI ARE THE BEST THINGS TO HAVE HAPPENED TO THE NIGERIAN POLICE.I HAVE JUST TOO MANY TESTIMONIES ABOUT THESE GENTLEMEN OF THE LAW.WHENEVER THERE IS A MAJOR CRIME IN LAGOS I ALWAYS KNOW THAT IT WOULD BE UNRAVELED IN NO TIME.THEY HAVE REALLY BROUGHT DOWN THE CRIME RATE AND BECAUSE OF PROACTIVE MEASURES LAGOS IS WAY SAFER.THEY ARE A BLESSING TO NIGERIA..I PRAY THAT THEY ARE GIVEN EVEN GREATER POSITIONS AND CHALLENGES IN THE EMERGING "NEW NIGERIA"
