In the wake of his highly publicized verbal fight with Senator Remi
Tinubu in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye shared this think piece,
recalling alleged instances where Sen. Remi had confrontations with
Senators and others. Read what he wrote after the cut..
WHY ALWAYS REMI TINUBU? : For the record, I want to give a few instances to buttress my perception of Senator Oluremi.
1.
Just after she was first elected into the senate, one of the
commissioners, who went to pay homage and congratulate her "mistakenly"
referred to her as "distinguished senator". She took everyone aback when
she flared up and warned never to be addressed like that again, asking
the commissioner: "What happened to Yeye? Do you know how many senators
we have made? You probably should have called me by name. The man
apologised and quietly left.

She held a town hall meeting in Yaba, sometime ago during her first
term and when it was the question and answer session, Seun Okinbaloye of
Channels asked a question, alluding to the fact that "we have heard of a
few things about you and your husband and some of the things you have
been doing in Lagos". Senator Oluremi wouldn't let him land, when she
interrupted him and asked: "Who are you and where are you from? You
heard a few things about us? We are Lagos". Everyone was stunned and I
was there.
Another lady from LTV 8 (can't figure her name off the top of my head now) also stood up and asked her own question, starting with "distinguished senator". She immediately pounced on her: "Imagine, she just called me senator when she was meant to call me mummy". She also gave me mine. She mistook me for someone else from THISDAY and was going to attack me before someone else came to my rescue. However, I saved the day by going to the MC, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan (who was then Ejigbo LG chairman) to go and appeal to the journalists to take out the vexatious aspects of the interraction gone bad before the whole essence of the meeting is lost to her mannerism.

I know a former member of the National Assembly, who had to go to one
of today's cabinet members to report her, that the next time she was
rude to him, he would damn the consequences and take her to the
cleaners. I also know that Mark as former SP avoided her like a plague.
Did anyone see how she charged at Senator Obanikoro when she objected to
his nomination as minister? Instances abound and these are unbecoming
incidences that should not be found in anyone's character file. But
that's who she is. It will take a "real man" to brush aside such
invectives and pretend an encounter ever took place with her. That's
where Dino missed it. But Remi can be such a menace.

How can this man be a senator, with responsibility for taking decisions on behalf of his constituency. I don't know both of them personally, but I have known Remi tinubu's name longer than Dino's and his is the one always followed with scandals.
It is clear from the way he has been going about this, that he is indeed a physically and mentally abusive man, who will go to any extent to degrade a woman who bruises his over magnified ego.
I think his fellow male senators need to call him to order.

For real her attitude could be disgusting. i have had an encounter with her while with my boss at an event and i snubbed the hell out of her, i was looking so well dressed and she wondered who the guy (i) was. Westerners know she is very RUDE.

Since Remi Tinubu and Dino Melaye saga has been trending, I've been a spectator. I've also been careful not to speak hastily until both parties must have expended their tirades.
Dino Melaye is a man whose reputation precedes him. I neither regard him as a cultured man nor a gentleman by any standards.
Remi Tinubu is a woman I consider an unmannered woman. I have never liked her saucy disposition and overbearing attitude. Before now, she has had her own fair share of obnoxiousness. I think this time she met her match.

Some body should kindly advised the so call senator who happened to be representing my senatorial district in Kogi state to shut up his dirty mouth and face the business that took him to the upper camber. No single federal presence in his senatorial district even all the federal government roads within the kogi west are not motor able, even the kogi state government neglected the senatorial district. I'm not too sure if any bank do operates around the senatorial district for the past two to three years, due to insecurity around the area. And our representative in the senate keep on misbehaving and disgracing him self in the public every day.

Yes I agree that Remi Tinubu has her own issues too. She is used to politicians paying homage to Bourdillon for one favour or the other. She is used to "great" men licking her ass. I was stunned when he was the only person that refused to shake Saraki during their swearing in. It is a practice that all members of the National Assembly shake hands with the SP or Speaker as the case may be after swearing in. On live TV she hung the hands of the President of the Nigerian senate mehn. Height of snubbing!!!!. Just because her husband's wish did not manifest in the senate leadership election. That was when I lost hope on her. To imagine that even Senator Lawan that they wanted for the position shook Saraki. Even her husband would have shaken Saraki at that point.
