Photos: 2015 African Achievers Award to be hosted in South Africa as VIP express confirms partnership

Organizers of the prestigious African Achievers Awards, AAA, have commended one of the renowned tourism and traveling agencies in Nigeria, VIP Express, saying the company has set precedence in Africa and the world at large. 

Speaking, the Principal Partner of the Award, Rex Idaminabo said that with companies like VIP Express, tourism potential in Africa can easily be harnessed. 



He affirmed that such progress and Excellence exemplified by VIP Express , had informed the partnership with the Company in the delivery of  the African Achievers Awards scheduled for South Africa in July 25th, 2015.

Rex said ''When we started this year's awards ceremony planning, we had visited different tourism and traveling agencies seeking for partnership that will further ensure that more African countries are involved apart from the 36 that already involved, VIP Express's collaboration is one that we hold in high esteem because they have demonstrated capacity and excellence in the delivery of their services within Africa and especially Nigeria.

According to the principal partner, VIP Express has not only invested in AAA, but has shown that it is in Nigeria to pursue the common goal of African growth and development. 


Barr. Rex  further affirmed that Africa and Nigerian families can now through VIP Express afford quality leisure time, while at the same time easing out their stressful moments through the creation of valued opportunities for fun, freedom and family bonding. 

Speaking further the director of Public Relations and Government Communication in the person of Amb. David James Egwu also used the interaction to announce the next edition of the AAA awards, saying Johannesburg, South Africa will host the next edition already scheduled for July 25, 2015.

He further stated that The First African Achievers Awards® was presented to Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu in recognition for his fight for Human Right, Justice and Peace. This ceremony was hosted by Kings College London on the 21st of October 2011. The Archbishop’s close links to the College have continued with a new undergraduate scholarship scheme, available to African nationals and named in his honour, to compliment other funding opportunities, such as the Canon Collins Scholarship.

In 2012, the African Achievers Annual award was hosted by King’s College London (for the second time) after which the recipients of the awards proceeded to a Dinner at the prestigious Waldorf Hilton Hotel, London.

The 2013 edition of African achievers awards held in Hilton Hotels, Nairobi, Kenya on February 23, 2013, with the theme, ‘THE FUTURE IS AFRICA.

In the year 2014, we were at Accra Ghana, for the awards, which was hosted at the Presidential Banquet hall, State House, Accra Ghana.

On March 13th 2015 we held the Annual African Achievers Awards Summit and Honours at Porticullis House, The house of Parliament, Westminster London. The focus of the summit was Investment in Africa, as a means to sustainable development in Africa. The summit brought together notable and respected Africans in diaspora and some Britons who came together to discus this all-important subject. The summit was introduced by its Host Sir Gerald Kaufman MP for Manchester, Gorton, who expressed that Investment in Africa was a very ‘important issue’. It was at this event that South Africa was unveiled as the Host Nation for the 2015 Awards ceremony he concluded.
