During his interrogation, Chijioke claimed he was having his bath when his father was murdered."After taking my bath as I was going towards my room I saw people screaming in my father’s room, so I decided to go inside to know what was happening there. When I went there I saw my brother and my cousin in my father’s room and I saw my dad on top of his bed. I was shocked to see blood on his head. I was so scared I had to go down stairs to call one of my cousins. When I came back with him we were asking them what happened none of them told us anything. He told us to go down stairs the next thing was for me to see police coming to arrest me, took me to the police station, saying I am a murderer, that’s all.” he said.He denied ever threatening his life, maintaining they had a good relationship.

This is a very sensitive Case,it might be the elder Brother too we dont know,if it were to be in an Advance Country say in 4-8 Weeks they will know u killed their Father.I head in Ibo the senior Son inherits all most all the Propties,so may be the elder Brother did it to make it come to pass.
Hmmmm, maybe he's been set up. Do they have anything to gain from their father's death? Also, they said only the 27yr old had access to where their father was when he was attacked and there is no evidence of someone else gaining access to the home during that period, yet the boy found his elder brother and cousin shouting in his father's room when he came out if the bathroom; did he open the door for them to get in? That means they had access in too, right? I'm not saying they did it but this chijioke guy should not be the only suspect considering the info provided so far. Anyone else with access or a key could have gone in to kill him and slipped back out again; or even gone in, committed the crime, go out & come back in with someone else so they can discover the body together to cover himself/herself up. It could all the same still be this chjioke guy but the evidence here is too flimsy, there are several other possibilities. I just hope an innocent man is not being punished while the criminal walks free. RIP to their father, condolence to his family and may all evildoers be exposed and punished....... Just Saying

If anybody is guilty of dat crime, it should be the elder brother. Even if Chijioke actually threatened to kill his father, probably out of anger, it doesn't mean he can actually do it. Why is the elder brother accusing him? What convinced him dat Chijioke could actually kill their father? There re many loose ends in dis story.
