Big Brother Nigerian winner and video director, Katung Aduwak, is engaged to be married to his black American girlfriend, Raven Taylor. They got engaged in February 2012 after dating for almost two years and are planning their wedding for January 2013 in Chicago. Raven is from Chicago Illinois but has since relocated to Nigeria to be with her man.

I've seen Nigerians get married and be divorced within a year, or doing fake marriage for a lifetime. I've seen family members marry Yankee or whatever, and be married for a lifetime (over 20yrs), and their spouses (male/female), even move to naija with them for a while.
I am married to an amazing husband, who so happens to be naija too, but best believe I didnt just marry him because he was naija, but because of the AMAZING part.

Wow!! It's amazing to see that Nigerians are still not open minded. What happened to marrying who you love? No matter where they come from? My mother is African American and my dad is Nigerian. They have been married for 31 years and still going strong by the grace of God. Nigerians have tried to give my mom hell because of where she is from. It is either, she is not good enough for my dad or they are shocked she can cook for my dad (mind you, my dad only eats Nigerian food), or they are shocked when they start abusing her in Yoruba and she understands what they are saying, etc. It is disheartening but I am always consoled at the fact that one day, each and everyone of us will go through judgement. May we all make it to Heaven in Jesus name!! Many Nigerians can be so mean and generalize soooooo much sheesh!
