Does something as small as turning off whatsapp blue ticks be an indicator for how shady your man or woman could be? See the responses after the cut...

Turning off your last seen doesn't mean you are shady. You don't have to let all your contacts know when you are online and the last time
different reasons.. some turn it off maybe they are busy or not in the mood to chat with anymore. their reasons is best known to them

am a very good fan of turning d blue tick and last seen off and i rily like it.i v bin doin dat for like 2 yrs.cos dr r sum pple dt wud always disturb u wit pings en all dat.so i decided to turn off so dey wont knw if i read it or not.and again my main reason was cos i dint want to get heart broken.dr w as a guy i rily liked and i ping a lot but doesnt reply on time.so in order 4 me nt to knw wen last he was online,i decided tp remove my last seen which mins i can see his en others en dey cant see mine too

It's so silly monitoring your BFF on WhatsApp, I turned mine off cos of security reasons, pressure in replying some messages and of course "monitoring Spirits", got a ping a call from a friend asking what the heck i was doing online so so so and so time, cldnt simply deal!

Turning off the read blue tick on WhatsApp is shady to me but that last seen shii is a relationship saver ooo. My GF and I started having issues because of last seen and no response to previous delivered messages.

I turned my blue stick and last seen off, some people just see you online and bring up unnecessary gists...when you don't reply, they call you rude and arrogant. Most times you are just not in the mood to reply 'aproko' messages.
Linda! The blue tick is called read receipt. Being private doesn't equate being shady. Some people use it as a cover up for infidelity tho, doesn't mean everyone who disabled their read receipt and last seen is shady.
That is the problem when people live their lives on social media!!!! This is not important at all abeg!! Anyone who has trust issues should deal with it.

I turned off my 'last seen' during my NEBOSH IGC class 2 years ago . It's still turned off as i type. Didn't read any 'shady' meaning into it. I'm just a private person.

What's a blue thick though? I have no idea what that is. I remember I turned off some settings like some two years ago, checking it now I see it was the last seen and read receipts notifications I turned off. But I don't know what a blue thick is.
Well good thing is if anyone's blue tick is turned off you won't also know if the other person you're chatting with has read your message as well, same thing goes with last seen. If you turn off your last seen, you won't see people's last seen also.

In corporate world hiding reading a massage and hide it from the sender is view intent to pull a fast and act cowdice ,every sender has right to know his or her massage is receiving and read ,if received and not read its a different issue and might view as unavailable ,even cloning read mail to appear unread is viewed with serious concern.,some people will claim I just want to enjoy my privacy ,you can aswel decide not to read the massage because you knew the sender already,it just like peeping through someones window and wants the outside world to believe you are clean...why don't you call it a shot by reading the massage and refusing to reply ,it's called been bold to face the reality .
From the top of the screen of the phone where they wrote BlackBerry, tab ur finger on d top of d screen n slide down u get to see options like settings, Add ä friend n the rest. Click on settings then go to privacy, there u will see wht ur looking for
It's only babes(girls) that get disturbing texts from people especially those unknown to them that effect such on their whatsapp account. There is a / (are) reason(s) for every action.

If yours is turned off, you can't see others too

Go to your Whatsapp >Settings> Account> Privacy> Read Receipts ....and slide it off/on!! You won't be able to see others blue ticks too!
