So they're more interested in their image than the human being tortured.
If they don't want a bad image, they should tame their soldiers that abuse human rights everyday.

Same reason the USA would not release or sell weapons to us. We have been condemned by Leahy law. We should learn to live as a democracy country. Soldiers in advanced countries are not seen daily. There's is d battle field. Criminals , terrorist etc are humans and have to be arrested and tried. Not this press up, frog jump things. When they tell post many of them to fight insurgencies they will go AWOL. It's me. Em. Ttp.

The torture was inhumane but for a rapist or armed robber...... that is not enough. Shoot his ass.

Police in Nigeria?
They will kill the guy, dump the body in the morgue, tell the family they don't know which station the person was taken to.
