The unfortunate thing is that more will still drink it even if people are dying as a result of the substance. Just see the environment its being brewed, so so dirty!

While the processing and processor look dirty, one wonders what is killing people who consume this liquor because its been a very long time that people consume this drink. I know back in the days, if you have a dull dog, just give it some portion of 'ogorogoro'. It will be more violent than a Durban or Rottweiler. There is more to this...

I am not alway happy when eople cannot come out and call a spade a "spade". Ogoro has been in existence time imemorial and often used as concuction in threating on ailments or the other. that ogogoro is killing people this days does not mean someting is worng with brewing or the fremation process. What i expected NAFDAC or any of our health agencies is to carry out a deep root analysis of what went wrong in that particular line of production. Forensic investigation should depicts the substance or element that is responsible for the death of those people so that "that" particluar line of production can be destroyed and the usage of such subtance stopped in the production of ogogoro. Before the advent of schinaps. Ogogoro is often used to apease the good yet not record of death is recorded. Remeber even all the sold called spirit of today can do same if something goes wrong with the production process.

What u don't know is dat many of d breweries and alcoholic drinks manufacturers in Nigeria gets their products from this locally made Gin and then reprocessed for final end use...as for me.i think this is d right time for nigeria to have a standard laboratory where wines/drinks can be analyzed b4 consumption by d consumer...**proud_2_be_A_chemist**....God bless Prof. Olajide for dis my project topic##
