zero chemistry between the couple sha...that's just my opinion o before una call me hater. i hope they put as much energy into the marriage as they put into the expo show (a.k.a events). by the way, i saw some of Abi's jump offs in the photos..lmao. lagos and abuja girls can be shameless sha.

is this the 3000 guests engagement whereby only 500 people were served and the rest were starving in their aso ebi?

Anonymous said...

I see that you did not get an invite.ANYWAY,this not your typical bush Nolywood wedding. It is a bit above your grade.

Wow this is the playboy Abi Kuku every1s been raving abt? old boy is kinda short! but lets call a spade, a spade: they LOOK GOOD together. Haba....I hope their marriage is real sha. Cos they just remind me of hollywood power couples who marry for status and looks and before you know it, they can't stand the "real" each other and they call it quits... but they look good

I do not usually write on these blogs but SERIOUSLY people!
a) I was a guest at the engagement and there was more than enough food and various types of food for everyone including all the drivers outside.
b) I happen to be childhood friends with abi and he is 6'2. when 6'2 became short! i would never know!
c) their marriage is the real deal, they are very very happy together and love each other a great deal. Otherwise all of this would not have taken place on both ends trust me!

It was a fab party! and alot of effort went into the planning of it and it showed. I wish them nothing but the best and God's blessings. As I do not believe either of them have personally offended anyone on this blog, I pray that the Lord blesses each and everyone of us and forgives us where we may fall short.

Congrats. Nice colours in all. I also noticed the lack of chemistry. I want to believe the cameras caught them at the wrong time.

Beautiful couple.

Omalicha said...

what else is chemistry?? are they supposed to make out and smooch in front of all their guests?? they are both smiling in all the pictures...are they meant to be screaming with joy?? the guy is nice looking and iam sure he has had his fair share of girls....socialites have a reputation of being womanizers, however if they love each other and take care of each other they should have a drama free life hopefully...they are a beautiful couple...

Anonymous said...

I know both people, they are very much in love. So, let us leave them alone to start their lives in peace and with our prayers. Also, chemistry is relative. I am sure things are hot when they need to be!!!! Barka de Sallah people!

Well heard people were hungry!and had to beg for small chops. So happy i skiped this. And with all the noise, they could have done better. Thats what happens when the two families are trying to outdo each other. But i like the Fowlers.

The truth is you can never judge much from just photos. Even those who appear to be the happiest in photos are sometimes hiding deeper stories. So the lack of chemistry comments, i'm not sure about.

I agree though that many people are doubtful 'cos of Abi Kuku's past of being a serious ladies man and 'cos he took so long to settle.

However if she can handle him that is her problem. Besides he may have found his 'last bus stop' and maybe she doesn't care about his past jump offs. Wishful thinking maybe. Still, it may be a struggle jare, to be honest.

Marriage is hard for everyone but worse for those who choose people just for beauty, money, name, pressure, lust or time running out. All of these apply to most people who get married anyway hence the high divorce rate.

Ok to be honest i know both of them and i must say that she claims its for real and i believe her. I can say though that many people think that they can only marry a particular 'set' in Naija. That does cause marital problems.

Good luck to Funke + Abi. Give it a go joor!

congrats! i am keeping it positive. wishing you both a happy married life. you look great together.

the same Abi who had a jump off at Ama and Poju's wedding last month in Accra? oh lawd...this is going to be one soap opera.

Funke is one of the most GORGEOUS women I've seen. She just has that "it" factor. Congrats.

These are a very very cute couple. Sometimes a person does have to marry in their class. These two appear to have been born with Silver spoons? yes? no? and they will probably understand each other better than if they married out of their class... I don't know what you are all hollering about chemistry. They appear like they are good friends so what other chemistry are you all looking for. There are so many sour people(nigerians)

@ November 6, 2011 7:01 PM. You are kidding right? So I dated someone in the past, he/she now gets married and I should be ashamed to go to their wedding? what planet are you from? it didn't work out btw us does not mean I should be upset or bitter that person got married. I will definitely go to the wedding of an ex if I am invited. Not a big deal to me

Anonymous said...

abi kuku will alwaus be on the market while funke is busy shopping in milan and dubai

NA WA O. BAD BELLE PPL...just dey scream jumpoff this jumpoff that. shut ur mouth jare & let the man do him. u no kno sey em wife fit dey read comments lol jus dey snitch on ol boy smh.

Based in Accra said...

Anon 11.25pm is correct! It was Kojo who asked his girlfriend to bring four of her friends, Obaro and Abi went to their hotel rooms with two of them.
That Kojo sef should have a wife to be at this stage and not girlfriends.

Anonymous said...

ok linda, where is your conscious now? you don't think these comments are hurting people? it is not funny, or entertaining.

Anonymous said...

I am a friend of both. They are married now. This is not a girlfriend or boyfriend issue. Simply not cool.

Just engaged said...

@Based in Accra, Kojo has a wife to be reserved! Those girls following him are just to satisfy his lust.

@Hmmm, you're so shameless! It's people like you that make brides feel insecure. You should learn to let go your exes and that doesn't mean bitterness. It means decency!!!

Anonymous said...

Gist oh Gist!.....All i can say is it is a wa!

Shidah said...

@Hmmm, you're a certified whore! No sane woman does such things in Africa. Go ask Toyin O who dated Kojo A years back why her marriage broke. Her marriage broke cos she still kept in touch with her exes. Now she's unhappy in a second marriage.
Linda's blog isn't for entertainment alone, let's learn from other people's mistakes.

Anonymous said...

lol Linda I see you've started a trend. Anon 11.10 the word is "conscience" not "conscious". Two completely different words. Besides what would Nigeria be if all the bad belle people didn't get to have their say?

Anonymous said...

And these comments on your blog Linda are probably the reason why you were not invited. I was so happy when I had seen the pictures elsewhere and not on your blog. You are supposed to be someone who says they inspire people but who is this inspiring? all you bad belle people, if abi had asked you out or even said he wants to have sex with you, you would have jumped at the chance. May Abi and Funke's marriage be the envy of all who have no good thing to say. Like as if some of you were not opening your legs to whoever before marriage hiss hiss!!

sakara said...

i beg anon no be Linda say make ppl dey confess like witch, oya make una dey purge wetin una chop....am all ears and am balancing ma big yansh on my cane sofa....

Shakara said...

Shidah ah, why bring Toyin here and how do you know what went down the first time and if she's unhappy now? Not true oh.
Fine couple here and may God be with them.

Anonymous said...

@hmmmm...attending an ex's weddig is like nmaking yourself available to an ex. you sound like an Abi Jumpoff. see you Dubai in a few days hahhahhaha

Curious said...

By the way, what does Abi do for a living??? Even his best friends, Shola, Obaro and Kojo are company directors. He used to sing, but now?
Am even suspicious of him wearing white outfits these days.

Shidah said...

@Shakara, I know what went down with Toyin's first marriage as we were in Chicago together. Now, when Toyin makes comparisons, deep down she still prefers the first but has to show the outside world she has no regrets!
How can you be truly happy in a marriage where your husband's family think of you as a whore??? That's what Dr's family think of her, while the first husband's family truly loved her.

Anonymous said...

Me? I don't care if Abi used to be a playa or who the jumpoff is all I see here is he's hot, she's hot. Abeg, carry go and make beautiful babies, while the bad belle are still talking.

Anonymous said...

Nigerians and gist! This thread is meant for Abi and Funke, now gists are springing up about Toyin and Kojo.
Toyin had Hmmm's mindset but she's learnt her lessons.
Was at the weding and both families were tryng to outshine one another. Hope the couple don't try to pose to each other in marriage sha.
The wedding was more of an owambe, nothing unique except the crowd. Bella and Jameel's wedding and Dakore and Olumide's wedding had more class. Kisses to those two weddings.
Wealth, fame and beauty won't buy you class, it's an inborn tendency!!!

I have been following this couple's wedding story ever since it broke. What i can't understand is the amount of attention they receive and why.

They are clearly two beautiful people with impressive backgrounds. They are not perfect by any means in their personal lives but the intense amount of criticism they receive is very uncalled for and frankly I am tired of it.

Ok, they say he is a player but is he the worst player on earth? Whats all this noise about? How many Nigerian men, married and unmarried are different from him? I don't know him but i have concluded that he must be a great catch with the way people are beating themselves up about this union.

Leave them alone.

Teni said...

Abi as a player is exagerated, am a wife to one of his friends. Moreso, it's allowed as he was single and now that he almost 40, he's had his fill and Funke will enjoy him.
Obaro his friend married at 28, without having his fill, hence the whoring in marriage!
Abi's jump offs are also shameless for still featuring in his life.
If you all say Abi is bad, what about Obaro or Kojo? Kojo is the worst in their clique, the max he spent with a woman is 3 yrs and that's cos they tolerated his whoring, at the end he walked them out of his life disgracefully.
We all may not be guilty of whoring, but most of us have at least one bad habit God doesnt love. Let the man with no sin cast the first stone!

Shakara said...

Shidah; uhhh calling her a whore is a bit harsh. The most important thing is that her hubby loves her and the marriage will work. The family has accepted her and that’s all that matters.
Remember that in a marriage/relationship there’s always the woman’s side, the man’s side and the truth. Their stories don’t tally at all.
Abi, probably a sits as a director in his Dad’s several companies.

Anonymous said...

Cant we just be happy for them? Must there be name calling and airing laundry of other people that this does not concern.

I desire the gift of marriage so i will wish them well.

p.s i don't know any of these people from Adam

Shidah said...

@Shakara, am from Bayelsa where Toyin's new hubby comes from and till last month they still describe her as a whore jokingly. Yes, they accepted her but when anything goes wrong, they wont be there to help her out. That's the difference btw acceptance and loving a 'wife'.

Anonymous said...

@Curious you say obaro and co are company directors don't make me laugh infact i am laughing. Director ko director ni do they know the meaning of that word i don't think so...

As for funke she had her eyes open when she agreed to marry Abi so whatever comes out of it she would take it.

Not to forget she has Abi sisters to deal with who are like arrogant crocodiles and i guess they have met their match in funke because she is just as arrogant as they are this na real soap opera let it begin!!!

That said though all the best to both of them!!!

Truth said...

Anon 7.57pm, Obaro is still a director at an airline company not owned by the Ibru...
Yes, I know Abi's sisters are more of 'domineering' than arrogant. They want their wives to 'worship' them. They've married a wife who won't worship them and that's where the problem will start. Sorry, soap opera.
My colleague at work was at the wedding and she said it was obvious both families were trying to outshine each other!!!
Anon 5.03am was right, Adenuga/Disu wedding and Egbuson/Akande wedding had more class!

Anonymous said...

Truth, clap for yourself.........if they want to outshine each other how does it concern any of us?

Anonymous said...

Anon 10.31pm, stop being defensive. It concerns us all, they invited the press and made it public. Even world famous Hollywood stars know how to hide wedding details and pictures.

Anonymous said...

I agree with anon 9.37pm. Me think Funke wants to be a popular style icon to boost her boutique business. Informing the press of her engagement and all wedding rites is fame to her.
Am not beefing but there are families in Naija who are wealthier and more famous and yet had media free weddings. The wedding was just too crowdy, intimate events spell more class!!!

Anonymous said...

uuuurm at the last 2 comments she did NOT inform the press! If you are in anyway linked to the activities you'd know that

ITK said...

Anon 5.06pm, Funke didnt inform the press yet various media houses had special tags to cover the event???

Anonymous said...

Hey heard Funke and Abi's wedding has ended? How true people?

Anonymous said...

@anon March 25, 2013 at 3:24 PM i came back to read this too and gbam the people were right about the soap opera. Even the Toyin O that was mentioned here her marriage ended. na wa oh.
