FG declares Monday May 1st public holiday

To commemorate the 2017 Workers day, the Federal government has declared Monday May 1st as public holiday. Minister of Interior Affairs, Abdulrahman Dambazzau announced this in a statement released by the Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Muhammadu Maccido.

Dambazzau congratulated Nigerian workers for their resilience, hard work and commitment to the present administration despite current challenges. He urged workers to continue to support the Buhari-led administration.

Please,as you celebrate May Day,remember staff and pensioners of Anambra State Water Corporation owed salaries and pensions since 2012.There is nothing like pipe borne water in Anambra and govt is encouraging boreholes.All the major water facilities are shut including the multimillion Naira World Bank sponsored Greater Onitsha Water Scheme.Shame!
