Graphic pic: Young man allegedly murdered by Ogoni youth in PH yesterday
A young man named Tamuno Nelson Yudes was reportedly attacked with a machete and killed by Ogoni youth while he was passing through Eteo in Port Harcourt yesterday May 25th. His brother is telling the story on Twitter. See more tweets and Tamuna's corpse after the cut. But why would these youths do this nah? Why? May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
Wow.... remember when I used to worship at winners ogu bolo during my service year, I passed through eteo..... thank God I made it out from those blood thirsty ogoni guys
Hmmm.macheted jus like d@?I think dia's more he nid to say. Cos on Friday last week we saw a car at upth d@ W's badly shattered as tho it ws a robbery attack n data in with bld all ova only to find out d driver ws also macheted n axed all ova his body tho d reason wsnt knwn. Ogoni ppl r very violent n fetish
Nelson was a responsible young man, he just got a very good job in Onne barely a year now . Taking care of his widowed mother, humble, soft spoken and generally well liked. I bet you will to walk the length and breadth of this country and you still wont meet anyone that doesn't have something nice to say about Nelson . The young man died in pain, saw his death at the hands of these demons. He didn't deserve to go the way he did. Its very painful and heartbreaking that this is how your story ends. Nelson you will be sorely missed but shall never be forgotten. The people who did this, demons masquerading as men, they will never find peace. May your gentle soul Rest In the bosom of the Lord.
In the realm of the Spirit There is No space, Time or barrier. I therefore declare curses of psalm 109 verse on the killers of tamuno. May they see the fierce Angel of Death swiftly. The world will hear of their own death too. Linda ikeji will report it. In jesus Name. Amen.
he is my colleague in the office, we are not sure how it happened but we've been crying heaven and earth since morning... irony is that we read LIB every morning together like this. little did i know we will be reading a story about his demise. this world is a small place. do good while you can. this brother is too intelligent and gentle to die...
Awwwwwwwwwwww! This P.H and scary stories I hear everyday.sadly I just relocated here from lagos. Nelson was easy going. we became friends just last month and he's been sooooo helpful and sacrificial. DEATH!!! I'm speechless. May God grant your family the heart to bear this great loss. R.I.P bro. R.I.P..........Goodnight.
Still very shocked to know about Nelson's death. We were together some months ago in another friends wedding where we took pictures together, laughed hard at each others jokes, took some drinks together. Sadly, death has cut short your potential that was never argued. Adieu friend....!
NELSON !!!!! NELSON!!!! Who did this to you???? You had a beautiful heart. Linda please help pour more light on this. This killers must not go unpunished. plsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. His mother is a widow. He just got a good Job. He's like the star of the family... he is light.... very nice and soft spoken. you can't help but like him soon as you meet him. i met him just twice and we clicked as buddies. asing enh! he is toooooooooooooooooo correct. God pls I beg u in the name of your son Jesus, the 3rd generation from the demon who took nelsons life die painfully since you said revenge is for you. plssssssssssssssss God let the person(s) who took his life die painfully till their 3rd generation then grant mercy on the 4th but not after you have dealt with them till the 3rd one. its a curse i have placed o! nelson was a good person to me just twice we met.
I served in Ogu, so I know the history of the dispute. As the story goes: many years ago, some rejected people of Ogoni came to Ogu and pleaded that they were given hectares of land for farming and settlement. Of course, Ogu people being hospitable and nice, welcomed them and gave them the land.
As time went on, they (Ogoni/Ekporo people) often gave Ogu kings foodstuff and fish in appreciation for their kind gesture. But since we've fully embraced modernisation, the offering stopped and Ekporo people started having many extended household, hence the need to have more lands. So they started trespassing in the original Ogu land. Ogu people noticed it, warned them several times but they wouldn't listen. So from time to time, Ogu people would attack Ekporo people, destroy their homes, burn their farmlands, eat their food, loot their things, etc. Of course, Ekporo(Ogoni) people always retaliate by killing Ogu indigenes.
As corps members, it took the intervention of the military to evacuate us when one of such conflicts broke out. Ogoni often lay siege on Eteo Road and kill them if it's established that the person is from Ogu. Since Ogu is a land surrounded by waters, it is advised that they avoid Eteo Road and use Nonwa Road if they need to go to P.H by land, otherwise one can easily go to P.H by water.
