Happiness is a key figure in our lives, we all need happiness but the question is what defines our happiness?
A lot believe we need a friend or family or even lovers such as, spouse, friends or even our kids to stay happy. But it’s a lie, a lie we have so much told ourselves right from the beginning.
I chose a page from Chris Gardner’s words; “if you want to be happy then you need yourself to make you happy. In life when you need anything you go get it not complain. Happiness is a thing of choice, and choice is yours alone to make”.
We don’t need anybody to stay happy; in fact the human system was designed in a way to depend solely on nothing to survive.
We choose what we are and no one on earth can stop us or help us make that decision. People can help us achieve that which you have set for them, but first you have to make the first and most important move which is setting the path you want to go and then God will help you through humans to get there.
We are responsible for our happiness and we must always carry our happiness wherever we go and wherever we find ourselves, just as Robert Kelly said, “We are happy people” and like God said we are peculiar, unique, fantastic, fun, great, awesome and amazing people. We give Joy and we are carriers of Joy. Don’t go into anything expecting to find happiness, you should carry your happiness into everything you do or venture into.
Don’t get married expecting to find happiness because you won’t, carry your happiness into your marriage. Listen to this, you are not happy because of your marriage rather your marriage is happy because of you.
So goes your business, social life, education and every part of your life. Money cannot make us happy, yes we need money to survive but cannot make you happy because it’s not what you can buy but we make our life happy through what we do with our lives.
Your business grows because of you, not the money. The impact you inject to the business and how you present it to the general public that brings about profit. It’s all in you and you are everything to you.
The sole aspect of human happiness comes from the ingrown of human input. We are made for joy but we choose to leave our happiness in the hands of another. Yes we are not to be alone, that is so true but the basic of our existence is not to depend on people for happiness because you will not find it. You don’t need anybody to make you happy because your happiness is your responsibility, when you look toward human for happiness you are going to remain miserable because most people around you don’t care about your happiness. Your boss did not employ you to make you happy but for you to grow his business. Remember, you were employed to work, not for the company to make you happy. So then if your boss cannot provide the happiness that you seek, the best thing is to quit the Job because you don’t expect him to care about your happiness. We need ourselves in every way and at all-time but our happiness is ours to make. We can be shoulders to lean on because like Michael Bolton said, soon you are going to need one to lean on too but before that point you are responsible for your own happiness not your parents, friends, spouses, children or anybody.
