Why are you guys comparing P Square to D'banj?? In the west one has to do a lot of promotional interviews and shows be it tv or radio. Even the almighty Michael Jackson with all his popularity still had to grant interviews etc when he had to release a single or an album. Why are you guys comparing P Square to D'banj?? In the west one has to do a lot of promotional interviews and shows be it tv or radio. Even the almighty Michael Jackson with all his popularity still had to grant interviews etc when he had to release a single or an album. Same with actors and actresses when a movie is about to be released. Its called promotion peeps. I love P Square but how will they grant interviews when their singles are not been released in the west...the truth is, in Nigeria and say Africa D'banj and PS are on the same level but in the UK D'banj is bigger than any naija artist..he has a top ten under his belt, hes been played in white clubs not just naija or black clubs, Oliver Twist has a heavy rotation on radio 1 (which is the epitome of main stream), dude is been interviewed by The Guardian UK etc now obviously during interviews Kanye West name will always pop up because as a new artist journalists will always ask about the foundation and how he got signed to G.O.O.D music etc. Remember when Lady Gaga use to go on about how Akon made her etc when she first came out or Kanye himself talking about Jigga when he first came out or Nicki and Drake always giving props to Lil Wayne(especially the former).
