Federal Govt acquires Four Generators for Abuja Airport

After at least three recorded total blackouts at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, this year alone, the Federal Government has acquired and commenced the installation of four generators for the airport.

According to the special assistant (media) to the Minister of Aviation, Joel Obi, the four generators have a combined capacity of 6,000KVA, which will hopefully signal the end to the challenge of lighting at the airport.

Let's say we believe him! Halleluyah!!!

What a shame!!!generator?instead of finding lasting solution of electricity in the country.they are buying generators.Lord help this country. If the power supply was stable would there be problem of power-off at the airport?
They should face the real problem and not look for means of sucking more money in the name of acquiring generators.

So we should start dancing alanta because they acquired generators? Like though they're doing us a mighty favour. Power supply is part of the basic amenities we should enjoy in this trash-fest called nigeria. Assholes!!!

I doubt getting generators is the answer. Why not working on constant electricity for the state and country??? That would make more sense right!!!

BEFORE NKO?

Instead of the Federal Government to sort out the underlying NEPA problem, they have awarded a contract to themselves again to supply more generators. I am pretty sure it is not some poor man that got that contract.

No hope for this country with the kind of leadership we have. We need someone like Jerry Rawlings in this country. I wish all PDP, ACN, ANPP cohorts be all killed and fresh blood emerge. I don't see any hope for this country in the next 20yrs. Sorry to say

This is such a shame!!! I personally believe that the NIgerian goverment has made a deal with generator manufacturers to get a cut of generators sold that's why there is no constant power supply. The main market for generators is in Africa, I live in the States and the sale of generators is next to nothing.

Some foreigners still refer to Nigeria as “the dark federation” and I dont blame them, for the light that flickers under the tunnel is not that of hope, but an approaching train. And because countless keep waiting in the way of the train, millions die and many more remain decapitated by the day.
It’s amazing how we all sit, relax and watch ourselves grow without having ever experienced at any particular season in our lives constant power in a so called GIANT of Africa! BIG SHAAAAME! If only BH cld wisely utilise their venom and anger not on the innocent masses, but on things like the new generator sets. those are the kinda stuffs dat really needs to be blown up by all means so dat our leaders wld for once learn to stop taking our pleas for steady power and total extinction of corruption FOR GRANTED! pls linda post my comment for once! Enuf of the negligence already!
