Toyorci Akerele to represent Nigeria in a US Government programme

RISE Interactive Global Link  Limited, Nigeria's leading Youth development organization, has recorded another achievement and honour as its Executive Director; Toyosi Akerele, prepares to join other eminent and distinguished contemporaries to attend the International Visitor Leadership Programme under the aegis of  the United States Government.

It is interesting to note that Akerele was the ONLY Nigerian being nominated  this year; this came as a recognition of her hardwork and resilience towards ensuring that there is visible transformational change in her country. The International Visitor Leadership programme is an initiative of the U.S Embassies around the world. Launched in 1940, the IVLP is a professional exchange program that seeks to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations through carefully designed short-term visits to the U.S. for current and emerging foreign leaders.  These visits reflect the International Visitors’ professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States. Akerele will be attending one of world's most prestigious gatherings where people from different races and countries who have distinguished themselves in media, politics and governance are selected to represent their country and in the process, create a friendly association with the culture and social life of the American people. An Elated Akerele in a brief chat, disclosed that she returns all the glory to God and also appreciated all the allies of RISE especially the advisory board for their support and confidence in the vision and objectives of RISE. Akerele whose visit to the U.S is billed for three weeks, will be visiting the White House among other places.

It is good to read Good News but bad new reach the audience faster and on the net... it is fastest...
Kudos to Ms Akerele for bringing another light on the good people of Nigeria...
May God help us in the dilemma of educating the uneducated and illiterates that have been brainwashed and believing that killing another human being in the name of politics is good!
I am tired of rotten politicians and i hope GEJ can work on something tangible... we need a better tomorrow...NOW!
