WOW! so GEJ is winning Northern states? wow! i would have thought Buhari would have taken those by storm. but i guess its the handwork of PDP anyway. awwww, i was really rooting for Ribadu. well, he is young, so maybe sometime in the future. and i thought Shekarau would have at least taken his own state! lol. na wa

oh nevermind....i read some of those wrong. but he is still doing pretty well in some Northern states though. its basically north vs south. i think the deciding states will ultimately be the middle belt.

Alicia, i'm not sure how you figured that out, but from those stats, GEJ is leading in only one northern state

I got this off a FB contact's status; "actually, any state with a voter turnout exceeding 60% is a typical fraud. But then, I don't have any evidence. Just statistics!"

INEC has done very well for GEJ!!

You guys didnt vote Okotie, Momodu, et al? LOL.

The election was declared largely free and fair (yes there were complications here and there, then again there is no perfect system hence the term 'largely')

Now why is this?

Apart from people preferring to stick with the familiar, popular side and the power and reach of the incumbent I also think the fact that the other aspirants stayed away from a debate also played a part in this result.

GEJ at least was able to tell Nigerians what he would do if voted for at the NTA debate whereas the other major candidates boycotted the debate to get back at GEJ for not attending the NN24 debate.

Own goal if you ask me!
