how much is it?
Here we go again...
I must confess Nokia phones are synonymous with creativity from their multi-key function to their regular features, but what sets a Nokia smartphone apart from the rest is their compatibility with symbian applications.
Back then in school when my Nokia N81 was still working i had a symbian app called psiloc ir remote (u can get this app from www .mobi11 . com) with psiloc I could control tv's and dvd's using my nokia as a remote control...most of my friends even called me a hacker or a guru of some sort because they were very much fascinated by a Nokia phone changing tv channels...Nokia & symbian paved a way for such tehnology and that is true creativity.
Whenever i get ideas or am inspired by something around me, i type it all in my phone (Nokia E63). just Its easy to express myself on my Nokia E63 microsoft word. It makes it easier to gather my write ups and i can write on the go.
I think Nokia phones are the best. I am Abisoye Oluwatobiloba. O. A 500l,faculty of Law Student of the University of Ilorin. I have done many creative things with my Nokia 5130 xpressmusic phone but I think the most creative, which I am sure will beat your Imagination is that I typed by Final Year Project on the phone. Not with a microsoft word application, which I had the option of using, but with the note-pad(notes).
How I did it was that after exhausting the limited space on the phone, I transferred via bluetooth into a friend's laptop where I did the arrangement of fonts and Formatting.
+ u know I like ur blog...that is to say, i deserve the E7 cause I already see it in my dreams...lol
Nokia is very cool. I love pictures - which my phone helps me with ALL the time!
I'm a lover of music and what I like d most about my phone is having to personalize it to my taste... the different playlists, the different categories, men, no oda person can understand what I mean.
I just follow my mood and move on to my choicest playlist and am feelin on top of the world.
The most creative thing I've done with my nokia phone, ummm, lets see....
it was with my nokia E63, whilst i was still in the university, I had an assignment due the next day that I hadn't even started... and as always, electricity was nowhere to be found... My laptop battery was flat, all the cyber cafes in school had shut down....I was stranded.
So,I picked up my phone opened my web browser (bolt), begun research on the topic of the assignment via google... copied relevant portions and then opened the word processor on my phone (quick office) and started editing... after a few hours of going back and forth from web to document (thanks to the wonderful advent of multitasking), I had something to tender as an assignment the next day.
All that was left was to wait for power to be restored, hook up my phone to a PC, edit the assignment properly on MS word and to the printers I went.....
my friends thought i was kidding when i told 'em....
NOKIA's d bomb!!!
Nokia the big player of the mobile phone arena tasted success with the Customary symbian Os. It provided a lot of flexibility and a variety of applications to everyone.I'm a student as well a member of a band.
1)Our band couldn't afford for a digicam as we are all students, i use my nokia N8 to record the jam sessions in the best quality (kudos to the 12MP cam. This helps us a lot as we are in our starting phase it helps us a lot to correct and innovate ourselves.
2)Staying up all night is inevitable in a student's life and so is falling asleep in the next day lecture. In this scenario i use my N8 to record the classroom lectures in the best quality (kudos to the 12MP cam again) so that i don't miss a thing.
N8 is such a life saver and so is Nokia
I got lost in the forest by Osogbo when I went to look for some animal, and thankfully my Nokia had a compass and long battery life, and I was able to get out just before nightfall...
I shuddered to think what would have happed if not for the Nokia.

Good day Linda,
The most creative thing I do with my Nokia phone is using
MY PHONE FOR ANIMATION
Erm negative @ nokia paving the way for using a mobile device as a remote... I was able to do that with a palm pilot in the 90s...
All the other stuff about using phones to do assignments and what not I.e listen to music; that falls in the realm of using the phone for what it was intended.
Can we have someone sharing something original and unique? Mundane is BORING...

@Anonymous 2:37 PM
I suppose using a palm pilot in the 90s as a remote control doesn't
make the use of psiloc app with Nokia less creative...emm
the last time I check the topic was still creative NOKIA!

So l had this nokia phone five years ago, about the same time l also had my long awaited young sister.
l usually made videos of her on each of her birthdays. On her fifth birthday which was last year,l used the movie maker software to make a movie that featured all her previous birthday videos which l had on my phone. It was the really ecstatic to watch her smile in appreciation.thanks to my nokia 3230

Here we go...
Back last 2 semesters, when 3.5G just came to town, well i got a lil creative you might say :) [ok,i might say]... Like i mentioned before, i used Joiku Spot a lot, which has the ability to turn a phone into a wireless data hotspot. One day i thought to myself, hmmm,i could really benefit from this, but how? So i set a password, and decided to let other persons in my department tap into my 'hotspot', but for a price of course ;) Prospective users had to pay with calling credits ( airtime) sms'd to me before they could get the day's password :D Lets just say that i didnt need to buy airtime throughout that semester!! Only drawback?my charger became my 3rd best friend, after my N95 naturally ;) hehe *
I threw my nokia phone on the ground, picked it up again, fixed it together and it started working again....wow..love ur blog

Linda, I know they gave you a customized phone o, but e don do abeg :)
You know I got nothing but love for you!
i think downloading pdf files and able to read them(ebooks)is cool. i have like 72 ebooks and i just scrool usin my fingers with my E100.
yawn!
lol @ tajudeen aromolowo!!!! this is certainly my own most interesting to read use of Nokia o!
my friend thought hher husband was cheating her with his secretary, so she set her nokia phone in vnc video mode and left it innocently in his office...
she got all the visual proof she needed of her husband and his secretary...
The most creative thing i have done with my Nokia is make a comic sketch out from it.
The most amazing feature of my Nokia 6760-s is the quick office. As a Nigerian international student in a university where almost everything is online, i have all my lecture materials, presentations, study questions etc on my phone. With the "find" button i can search for specific information in any document fast & easily. During the dreadful "seminars" (compulsory orals with d teacher) i can peep 4 clues without my teacher finding out.
Secondly, the inbuilt dictionary with the ability to download languages is a big help. when i go to the market & i cant communicate with the Ukrainian locals, all i have to do is search 4 words & try to make them understand what i want.
I saw the e7 in a Nokia shop here in Ukraine, It's a real beauty. I would love to have one, if only i can afford it.
I am still here Nokia, I just don't know what to add aside the one I did.
