Rapper Lor Scoota shot dead after returning from charity basketball game

23 year old rapper Tyriece Travon Watson, who went by the stage name Lor Scoota was fatally shot and killed in a busy junction in Baltimore on Saturday night June 25th.

Just minutes before the shooting, Scoota had been at Morgan State University, where he hosted a charity basketball event called "Touch the People: Pray for Peace In These Streets." 

'He was driving in his car when an unknown black male wearing a white bandana stepped into the street and opened fire, Watson was brought to a local hospital but died from his injuries' Baltimore police said to CNN.

Baltimore police spokesman T.J. Smith said no suspects have been identified and it will need the assistance of the public to find Lor Scoota's shooters.

Rappers The Game and Meek Mill took to their Instagram accounts to pay tribute to the rapper.

Meek Mill said 'Damn #lorscoota I seen so many young niggas fall victim Tryna make it out #restup'

while the Game captioned his post 'Another young one murdered. Just last year the lil homie @scootaupnext was over my left shoulder in the huddle working on #TheDocumentary2 everyday in Los Angeles.Then this news hits me SMH. LIFE.hold onto it, or you'll lose it & everything in it in the blink of an eye. #RipLorScoota'
