Lorenzo by Sujimoto sold out at private launch (photos)

On Saturday the 12th of December 2015, the “XII-XII-XV” suspense was finally put to rest as prominent dignitaries, private sector leaders, captains of industries, A-list celebrities, property aficionados and prospective investors gathered at the Intercontinental hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos for the private launch of the tallest residential building in Lagos – LorenzoBySujimoto.

MC’s Bovi and the dashing Dolapo Oni graced the stage and kept all the guests entertained throughout the night. With Bovi’s great wits and Dolapo’s poise they collaborated to create something absolutely amazing.

The food and the drinks overflowed as the distinguished guests were enlightened to great performances by internationally acclaimed Nigerian soul singer, ASA. Singer, song writer and music producer extraordinaire Cobhams Asuquo also treated the audience to an exclusive night of great music and brilliant performances. Not forgetting, the great DJ Jimmy Jatt who held the guests spellbound with a great mix of old and new school jams.

As it is true with all successful off-plan real estate sales, the right composition of location, quality, price and timing is essential. The management of Sujimoto made good on this front and reaffirmed the common knowledge that a great product – in this case real estate, will always sell itself irrespective of dwindling economic fortunes as there will always be a demand for quality accommodation, especially a building positioned to be the tallest residential in Lagos, Located on the prestigious Bourdillon Road. The LorenzoBySujimoto XII-XII-VI event hit a home-run and sales are off to a great start with 19 of the first batch of 22 units sold out. The event which was widely represented by thought leaders and the crème de la crème from different sectors of the industry, Mr. and Mrs. Sunny Irabor ; Mrs. Sally Mbanefo, Director general, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC); A-List musician, D’Banj made a surprise appearance and showed great interest in the project. Chief Mrs Animudu; Muri Tukur; and legendary actor Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) were amongst other notable Nigerians. The Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Gbolahan Lawal commended Sujimoto for their innovative project which according to him will change the face and skyline of Lagos.

He noted that for such a young company to have made such a monumental achievement in such a short while is very laudable. He also added that the state government will continue to do its best to support forward thinking organizations like Sujimoto Construction, by providing an enabling environment for private investors to thrive.

Speaking at the grand unveiling ceremony, Sijibomi Ogundele the Managing Director of Sujimoto, said that the company visited more than 40 buildings in Lagos and Abuja, travelled across three continents in search of quality and inspiration.

“We went to Dubai and saw the beauties of Downtown, travelled to Tokyo to the prestigious suburbs of Ginza and visited some penthouses in Manhattan, New York. We have learnt from the best and we know that the world belongs to those who create something rare, and not the norm, those who go the extra mile; those who think big, and build big.”

Nigerians will forever remember the 12th of December as the night a young real estate company – Sujimoto Construction, set a high standard by raising the bar in luxury real estate.

Sujimoto, who are you fronting for? Because it is impossible for you to have enough to buy land on Bourdillon and for bank to give you financing to build this tower. Nigerian banks will never finance this thing unless you're worth billions. Tell us how you came about this money, Mr Sujimoto?

It looks like some Nigerians have got their heads stuck in sand. Oil prices have been falling for a year, no money around and yet some people are still launching projects like this. Of course everyone attending will put their names down, but go and collect the money and they'll be singing a different tune.

instead of them to create jobs and build the nation collectively you are building a house that an IG or Director can not afford.

That's how they used the money that could transform Lagos to Sand-fill EKO Atlantic.

We need everyone to grow collectively!

Go to the UK, US and other countries the poor don't even realize they are poor because the basic amenities are available to all and sundry, But in Naij basic amenities are available to the rich with a crass show of wealth and opulence.

Well when you get out of your 5star apartment you will see traffic jam where they will rob you.

We need become a producing nation not a consuming nation...The rich needs to invest their money in ventures that will aid collective growth.

Do you know how many High rise buildings with lovely flats in Ikoyi that are unoccupied?

One day the poor will eat the rich when they have nothing more to eat!!!

God bless you anonymous (6:06pm) for speaking the truth and seeing what most have refused to see.
With bad roads,
electricity shortage,
security problems,
pollution,
reoccurring fuel scarcity,
over population,
Horrible traffic,
corruption,
majority of people living below poverty line
To name a few. We are actually the equivalent of most western countries in the 1800's. But instead of developing fundamental things and finding a way to provide basic human rights we are trying to fly before we can even crawl...copying 21st century western culture and lifestyle without paying our dues and building our own foundation. It's ridiculous!! At the end of the day I bet his investors aren't nigerians ( funny enough a large amount of lagos island isn't even owned by nigerians but by the lebanese), so who's economy is he helping. Regardless of everything people will still beg, steal, borrow, spend and purchase one of this glorified flats without actually thinking...cause all they see and hear are the shiny things and shiny words. We've not evolved past thinking only about ourselves. I commend him for dreaming big (if indeed they are his dreams and he is not simply a frontman) and the motivation to set the wheels rolling...I just wished his dreams were bigger than linning his pockets with over priced apartment buildings that will stand as a symbol of what over 90 percent of the Nigerians cannot afford and more instead of greed and corruption money(any hard working person wouldn't spend hard earned cash on an over priced, not exactly luxury apartment that depends heavily on electricity in a country with electricity problem, and "luxury" that ends once you step out of the gates ). You wouldn't be paying for luxury...more like basic needs.
