It's this kind of mentality that is making the patients/ potential patients escape/ hide. No one is even thinking about the well being of these people. Quarantine involves making their whole life to stop. They need counselors. If we don't at least try to figure out how and what they are thinking and also give some level of comfort we will just have more cases of escapees. Okay, here is it, the very act of running or escaping constitutes a straight criminal offence as such criminalizes such victim. Doesn't such patient know that he/she would be placing the public in danger? shoot at sight, this would serve as a lesson to others who may be considering such mean act.
It is easy for people to talk and be judgmental because they are not in the shoes of those who have contracted ebola. Imagine a healthy person suddenly realising he/she has contracted an incurable viral ailment which would snuff life out of one in 21 days. The thought of not being with any loved ones and then eventually giving up the ghost and being cremated is not what anyone wants to think about before dying. I Don't think anyone wants to lay in the quarantine center alone knowing they might die without seeing their family or friends. It's a sad situation all through. Really is. It's this kind of mentality that is making the patients/ potential patients escape/ hide. No one is even thinking about the well being of these people. Quarantine involves making their whole life to stop. They need counselors. If we don't at least try to figure out how and what they are thinking and also give some level of comfort we will just have more cases of escapees. Ebola is a deadly disease and we have to make these patients see and understand that. Not threaten to shoot them. Chidi Mokeme me should be ashamed of himself.

Okay, here is it, the very act of running or escaping constitutes a straight criminal offence as such criminalizes such victim. Doesn't such patient know that he/she would be placing the public in danger? shoot at sight, this would serve as a lesson to others who may be considering such mean act.
It is easy for people to talk and be judgmental because they are not in the shoes of those who have contracted ebola. Imagine a healthy person suddenly realising he/she has contracted an incurable viral ailment which would snuff life out of one in 21 days. They are quarantined in an environment which could be inhabitable. They possibly won't be in their right frame of mind anymore. The thought of not being with any loved ones and then eventually giving up the ghost and being cremated is not what anyone wants to think about before dying. Let's have some pity for this people and stop criticising. She just might have thought to go to her family without thinking of the implications probably because her state of mind for sure would have been catastrophic upon learning she has been infected by such virulent disease. Their transporters both in air and on ground also had protective clothing on. And not all Americans were happy about this FYI. Precautionary measures where taken to ensure the safety of other citizens, even when the male missionary felt symptoms and thought he might be sick, he immediately quarantined himself. I am sorry to say i agree with Mokeme, because she started spreading it as soon as she left that hospital, in the bus she entered, the people who collected her money for anything she bought, wherever she bought something, the people in the bus she travelled in to the east, who have now gone to different parts of their states and country and also taken the ebola to their innocent loved ones. All the relatives she visited in the village and her family members have also had contact with their friends or customers or school depending on what the do. So you see the level she has spread this Ebola because of her foolishliness. At the end of it all, she has ended up exposing her whole family to Ebola and i hope she will be happy when the all die.
