Is there really a limit? Me I have 6kids. ...( no insults please I no beg Una for school fees money ) my husband and I can afford to care for them.
Ideal number of kids for a family should be 4.....equally divided between boys and girls.....God willing......
But couples should also take a look at financial considerations....as that would provide a better idea for planning on the kids they want.

Is that a trick question for real!. Linda dear there is no average. Each couples circumstance should dictate how many kids they CAN have. I hate it when people bring children into this world and don't look after them well. Subjecting them to all sorts of hardship and neglect. Making them everyone's problem.Children are a responsibility, Linda. Not goats and cows that one boost of the number they have. You should no better babe.

If numbers of kids brought comfort Nigeria would be a good country in Africa. Instead Nigerians are deported froom Bots, Ken, Zim, US. UK the people of Nigeria need to be educated about family size. Even if you have money you cant stretch your country. Earlier this year US blocked you from lottery visas yet young people still talk of 4 children. Have you heard of environment issues. Good thin some women are not getting husbands in Nigeria. It stops senseless breeding

I'm blessed with a boy and a girl, who are just three years and one year respectively.I and my wife agreed that we are ok with these, but my wife said it is just for now because she is thinking of having a maximum of four.I have told her that maybe she would do that with her own 'penis' but she laughed at me and said I would not even know when it will happen. So we are still arguing this.

Above 7 is pushing it but i think anything below 7 is ok but having 1 is risky but there's nothing wrong with it

currently the trend is 2 kids, personally with sufficient resources i prefer 4 kids
I don't think there's a particilar ideal number....It defends on how sure you are about your financial status. Because you can't be managing and still having many kids. Neither should you have so much excess and end up having one or two when you can bring more into the wold. If I'm wealthy by Gods grace I will have as much as six if not more. I love full houses

I used to think 3 was ideal, until I had my son. Then 1 seemed perfect :)
However to be fair to him, he will need company growing up- the only reason I would have a 2nd child.
Providing and caring for kids these days is such a huge task- financially and even physically (especially if you live and work in Lagos)
And pregnancy ain't pretty!
Kudos to women who have more than 2. I respect and salute you all.
with secondary school fees at 2 million if you aim for the BIS's kind of school. That's 8 million for school fees only for 4 kids in 1 year...Biko
