Although this is good news, but the MET needs to do more. I hope the MET didn't make this "timely" appointment to shut us up. I hope he will be allowed to do his job and not be stitched up or / and hounded out. I hope he's not victimised or harassed for being a member of Black Police Association. The black community is very very angry with the MET. The London Riots was due to racism of white police officers against black Britain. The MET is institutionally racist and needs to clear out the racist thugs within its midst who covertly and routinely discriminate and give poor service to black and ethnic minorities.

Please all this people you keep calling Nigerians are not Nigerians. They are only from a Nigerian descent. I have lots of "Nigerian" friends that are British they always tell me not to get it twisted being black doesnt mean they are Nigerians. They are just descendants not citizens.

Good ambassador of Nigeria, we are proud of him. It is particularly good news for us Deltans after our very erstwhile governor has just recently disgraced us in the UK. Thanks, Linda, this made for good reading.

Americans are still have their "firsts" of this and of that so don't put them up there as an example. Only this past year, they elected the very first black school chancellor in New York. Obama is the first black man to hold the highest office in power, Supreme Court Judge Sonia Sotomajor is the first Hispanic to ever hold that office, we are waiting to see if Christine Quinn will become the first female and gay major of New York.

Soooooooooo America is still going through it's firsts.
