The Synagogue Church of all Nations has released an official statement via their Facebook page on the building collapse within their premises on Friday September 12th which has so far claimed over 77 lives. They say it was an attack on the church and in particular, their leader, T.B Joshua and have vowed to reveal the persons behind it. (they shared this pic purportedly showing an aircraft close to the building minutes before the building collapse) Find the statement below..

The pain of one is the pain of all. It is indeed a sad and painful
moment for the families and friends who have lost loved ones. It is
equally so for us in The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (The SCOAN),
under
the leadership of Prophet T.B. Joshua.
On Friday, September 12, 2014, at about 12:44pm, one of the buildings
on The SCOAN property unexpectedly collapsed, tragically resulting in
death and injury. Nigerians and citizens of other nations were affected.
This incident was preceded by the appearance of a strange aircraft which flew very low over the building four times and then disappeared.
Since the day of this incident, The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations,
its members and partners, have worked in collaboration with the
Nigerian, South African and other nations’ authorities
to ensure that survivors are rescued, attended to with the best medical
treatment, cared for in the most humane and hospitable manner and
reunited with their families, while those who passed on - martyrs of the
Kingdom of God - are retrieved, identified and
treated respectfully.
Amongst those we are working hand-in-hand with, are: The Federal
Government of Nigeria, the Government of the Republic of South Africa,
Lagos State Government, the National Emergency
Management Agency (NEMA), the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency
(LASEMA), the Lagos State Ministry of Health - doctors and nurses, the
Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), the Red
Cross, the Nigeria Police Force and various Non-governmental and humanitarian organisations and construction and engineering corporations.
"It is very sad that inaccurate reports are
coming from some quarters that we are not cooperating with the rescue
teams and other agencies in collating information and
providing assistance on the incident. Contrary to this, we want to
categorically state that the church has provided assistance when and
where required and continues to do so - good Christians are good citizens.
We emphasise our commitment to cooperate with all relevant authorities in establishing the cause of the collapse of the building.
The church views this tragedy as part of an attack on The Synagogue,
Church Of All Nations and in particular, Prophet T.B. Joshua. In due
course, God will reveal the perpetrators of this unfortunate tragedy.
"We wish to express our gratitude to all who continue to work
tirelessly, show their solidarity and share their condolences in this
grievous time, particularly all Government and non-Governmental bodies
mentioned above, Diplomatic Missions, National and International media
houses, society groups, traditional rulers, all concerned citizens and

all members and partners of The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV, along with Christians and clergy worldwide for their prayers and support.

The Lagos state government are too slow on acting on this collapse building, it was not an attack, it was negligence on the part of the church, and disobeying building laws, by now some people should have been arrested, with 80 people confirmed dead, arrest should have been made, because if it was an ordinary person, and not a pastor with high pedigree, it would have been treated differently, by now that person would have been arrested.

Come to think of it, they are sharing a CCTV footage of an aircraft hovering over the building before the collapse, and I am asking this question "does CCTV face upward?" every CCTV in a place face downward, to monitor movement and happenings around the premises, for security reasons, so how did they get a CCTV showing a plane hovering over the building? There is some element of lie in this whole thing, and why did the church official prevent NERMA officials from carrying rescue operations when they got there? Who knows they might have saved some of the people that died if they had be allowed access to the collapse site immediately they got there.

I have refused to comment on this synagogue collapse but this really silly.
1.) That aircraft is far away from that building and that is why its that small compared to the size of the building.
2.) When an aircraft get into a thick cloud you can't see it from here so it didn't disappear it must have gone into the clouds.
3.) Assuming that video is true, can they also release the videos of days before and after the collapse just to prove that it is unusual for aircrafts to pass there.
4.) Can our aviation sector be proactive and track down the details of those aircrafts in our airspace at that time on that day because if this collapse was caused by those aircrafts then there is need to be worried cos today it's synagogue tomorrow it might be 3rd mainland bridge.
5.) They should stop saying it's a strange aircraft cos they were 3 of them as it is impossible to make a circle between 9-14 minutes in such a air traffic busy area.
6.) They should stop saying the aircrafts didn't return cos planes fly in one direction and don't do forward and backward movements.

NO, NO, NO, it was not an attack- the collapse of the church building was simply down to poor structural work, no doubt hastened by the use of poor quality materials. TB Joshua and his church are criminally culpable for the deaths of those people who died and they should own up now before they are hauled before a court of law- in the UK or any other country where the rule of law genuinely holds sway, the leaders of the church along with the builders would have been arrested by now but then again, this is Nigeria where people get away with all sorts

Let me help to answer your question
1.) Aircrafts will fly across a church building because Nigerians travel by air and those aircrafts fly in the sky irrespective of what building is underneath.
2.) Four times ke, do think an aircraft is like okada that can make a u-turn within minutes. Those are 4 different aircrafts and not 1. A single aircraft couldn't have made a u-turn within about 15 minutes when it's not the only one flying in the airspace.
Today is my birthday. I'm sure some of those who died would've also celebrated their birthdays today. But not anymore. Not ever! They were "killed" by those ho claim to know God more than and closer to Him than other people. Some people go about calling themselves "men of God" as if it's a title. Am I a "man of devil"? Rubbish! Someone who see useless and misleading visions where commercial planes would crash, Obama would develop a strange sickness, BH would in the war, etc, could not foresee the collapse! Someone ho claims to serve God, going against building laws! Someone who has a plethora of building industry professionals: architects; engineers; geophysicists; QS's; etc, couldn't ensure adherence to building code! Two suspended floors increased to 3, 4, 5! I lived in Ikotun before. It is not uncommon for aircrafts flying that frequently in the area.
Fine. Let's asssume resonance brought down the planes. It still comes down to the fact that building codes and standards for skyscrapers within an airport path were not adhered to.
Do people think planes are like Okadas or buses, that can quickly make turns within 15mins. Then, you are calling for accidents in the air.
If the plane wants to drop an explosive, does he need 4 turns or whatever to do so? The mapping of the target is not done manually, it is done with a compass,all you need are the coordinates. Enola Gay (the plane that dropped Atomic Bomb over Hiroshima and Nagasaki) did not need 2 turns to do so. Mapped the target and Gbam! Done! Was there any explosion heard prior to the building coming down?
Those planes (it is not one plane, they are different planes at different times) in the air don't look like fighter jets to me. That is when quick turns are possible.
Lastly, the FAAN should be able to provide the schedule of airplanes within that airspace at those times (very simple).

Kai! Some of the views make it very evident why Nigeria's progress is a struggle. Too many things have conspired to keep Nigeria where it is. When people are poor, have little education or exposure, constantly feel insecure, are not assured of progress through hard work or assistance from the state if they fall on hard times why will they not lose the ability to think rationally?
