Uncompleted building collapses at Agungi-Lekki (photos)
An uncompleted building collapsed at Agungi-Lekki very early this morning. It is not known if there were people inside the building when it collapsed but a LIB source at the scene said they heard workers saying they left one of their colleagues in the building and haven't seen him yet. Will bring an update later. More photos after the cut...
Choi jezzzz I pray they find him, and let it be that he left the building earlier oh, one will say the foundation of the building is not strong that's why it collapsed bad plan.
Is either lekki is curse or under a spell of yoruba oba's?how can you tell me that 75 percent of evil happening in lagos is in lekki, flood, building collaps,Assault, raping, ritual and killing all in lekki and tomorrow yoruba's will expect me to come down an buy a house there*wink* loi not me freeborn zinalima bamilad. Who told you that no like was lost, well i pray so because the way things are happening in lekki is as if oba's needs blood as tomorror no dey.
You want cheap property by force, you will pay for it one way or the other, the shortcuts most developers employ, hmmmmm, and i cannot blame them when people will be pricing property as if it is fish. I know this property it is along the road i think. If you want to buy any property, tell the developer to show you the pictures of the development process, you could be able to deduce a little from those pictures, not the finished product.
All these substandard houses or should I call em death traps springing up all around Nigeria! Thank God they are collapsing before people have even begun to live in them! Imagine what that would be like?!
Y will it not collapse???? When it takes just 3 weeks to building a duplex in lekki . ..the rate at wish they rush these buildings is alarming no procedures followed..I pity pple dat buys such houses. ..cos it's actually a death trap..I pray dey find the worker. though.
This is what happens when there are no building standards or regulations that guide how structures should be erected and no board to review building application before construction starts.

Houses in Lekki area are poorly build to be very honest.
The engineer doesn't know his onions or it was simply caused by using subsidised materials

Terrible.
Low quality materials used for construction leads to collapse of buildings or road. Hope the worker is found hale and hearty.
THE STATE MUST INITIATE A MANHUNT FOR THE PROPRIETOR AND CONTRACTOR WHO ARE MOST LIKELY GETTING AT LARGE AND THROW THE BOOK AT THEM.
THEY MUST FACE THE FULL WRATH OF THE LAW TO SET AN EXAMLPE, THIS HAS TO STOP.
God have mercy!
