LIB congratulates Nigeria's President-elect, Gen Buhari

The results have finally been read out and Nigeria will soon get a new president, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari. He contested four times, and finally now has victory. Here's a big congratulations to him from all of us at LIB.

About President Jonathan, he's really the hero in all this. His ambition to be president wasn't worth the bloodshed. He conducted a free, fair and credible election regardless of the outcome. He accepted defeat and set a good example. He's a true leader.  Let's all thank him for serving us since 2010.

Congratulations Gen Buhari, our president elect. I pray for a safer, peaceful and a better country under your reign. Rule us with much wisdom and a magnanimous heart .

President Jonathan is a great man. A true leader and the Delta should raise their heads proudly for this unique son of Otuoke. He is indeed the true hero. This is a country that has never witnessed victory by the opposition. It was a keenly contested election and the closest in our history. GEJ please march on to international consultancy and teaching. You have done your best! I appreciate your civilised disposition!

And Pres Jonathan's personal attributes keeps me in awe.
Calm and humble.
Peaceful and great-it takes a great person to place the peace of Nigeria above his own needs/political career.
He is still loved by us

Unknown said...

I wish I have words to describe our amiable president president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for standing on what he believes in. President, you were a great president and still a great man, you promised us free, fair and credible election and you delivered, you had the chance to rig the election but you allowed nigerians to decided who will lead them and not impose yourself as our leader. I love you Mr president and I hope that the lagacy of transparency you're leaving for us will continue. Thank you sir for another wonderful thirst of demogracy, thank you for your kind nature ( which some people saw as weakness) thank you for being you and not what a lot of people wanted you to be. Nigerians will never forget you and what you've done for us.

Congratulations Mr president elect, it has been a rough road to Aso rock, but you are finally here. I have voted for you in 3 elections because i believe in your principles and your very disciplined life. I am convinced that the bain of the problems of Nigeria today is as a result of a decay of our moral values and systemic corruption in our administration.
I know we are a sick nation but we can now look forward With hope to healing as we now have the right medicines.
As for the outgoing president GEJ, i salute your courage to do the right thing by conceeding and adhering to the codes in the peace accord.
It is not because you have not done everything possible for you to win your re-election bid, it is because the the will of Nigerian people is the power behind your power and that will left you and rendered your power powerless. I thank God that you have not allowed the political jobbers around you truncate the desire of the Nation.
This victory is for every Nigerian. From today we know our votes count, curing us of the the long time belief and oppression that it doesnt.
Thank God for Nigeria. No power is greater than God's.

How is GEJ the hero in all of this? The results are glaring. Even with their plot: Orubebe & Co to disrupt the result proceedings, God subdued them.JEGA is the hero.
He refused to be cowed or intimidated by the ruling party into tendering his resignation. They did everything to frustrate him. God pass them. See the level of rigging in Rivers and Delta. Elections were not held in Rivers yet dem bring results come.

JEGA is my hero. I learnt a lot from him today. He deserves an award!
