This shouldn't be too surprising; it happened during obasanjo's tenure when he withdrew security aides of lagos state governor, when the latter had quarrel with him on local government issue. Although, the governor doesn't need soldiers as aides, but the people need them for the security of their lives and properties.
The president is not acting as the commander in chief and chief security officer of the nation. His psychophants should be able to advise him that he's acting in error. If he has any quarrel with any governor, he should consider the people of the state.
