Odemwingie may face disciplinary actions for comments on Twitter

Osaze Odemwingie recently lashed out at coach Stephen Keshi and members of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) on his twitter page for not being included in the African Nations Cup squad. (If you missed it, read it HERE).

A top NFF official told reporters this week that Osaze would not be allowed to go unpunished for the comments he made on Twitter. He said the case will be referred to the federation's disciplinary committee to investigate and make recommendations to the executive committee for the next line of action. The NFF rep said they plan to make a statement with the action they will take against Osaze.

Meanwhile, Osaze has concluded and accepted that his days with Super Eagles are over
“It is clear now that my days with the Super Eagles are over as I expected to be left out of the ANC squad because we have had a few issues before. I played a very good 10 years from 2002 to 2012 but I don't want to be with a coach who doesn’t want me.I still love my country and care about the football but I already wasn't feeling the way I would have liked to feel. Last month I spoke with Keshi because I didn’t play in a few games with the national team and he said my body language didn't show that I wanted to play for the team but body language for the Nigerian coach is that you have to be calling him all the time and greeting him but for me football is an official thing,” Osaze said

He must have made up his mind before making those statements;soo taking the matter to the NFF is of no use..

I wonder how the federation are planning to discipline him, when his days are over already.....

He's had his time, let him take a chill pill & put an end to all this vitriol he's spilling. Nigeria's football should not be treated like Aso Rock where IBB, Atiku & Buhari are still roaring to live in.

West Brom is probably in more crisis than the super-chickens lately.

Osas... Owie-edo pataki, if you still insist to be in SA come next month there's still time to book a hotel and match tickets also.

@Zaynab Maleek,lol hahahahaha u are mouthed

hey Zaynab y u dey beef the guy na? he was only saying his mind. as far as concerned, he is the most dedicated Nigerian Player to ever play for the super eagle so man hold you beef. And as the discipline, I dnt think dat will affect me cos he's old and somehow one day he will be invited back to the team.

Sometimes silence is Golden, acting before you think exposes you and gives people better insight to your person and personlity thereby giving them the much needed information to manipulate you, or see all you are about. . . Sometimes silence is Golden, the way your opponent does not know what to expect because he can't read you, and you also retain what is left of your self dignity and respect.hope Dewin will learn from this. . . Harsh. Respect people even if you have the right to express opinions.

NFF and Keshi are not been fair to dis man. His present form for his club should have earned him an invitation to the team. We should not forget his contribution to Eagles in d past. This Man had various options before he decided to play for Eagles. He is beta dan most of d strikers invited. We sld shun sentiment and be professional.

All I have to say is that football in Nigeria should just stop being politicised, it will help that sector more.

Ehen, so Steven Keshi dey find player wey go dey ass lick am everytime? Arrogant bastard of a coach. Osaze thanks for not calling him every now and then like he wanted. Football is an official thing. Gbam.

Although I agree that he shouldn't have lashed out but am with him all the way. For those of us who watch these eagles play, I see no reason why any coach wud let a teams hardest worker go. In his few times with eagles, he has slaved for dat team so its annoying that he is being dropped for Shola Ameobi who hasn't also shown all d interest and whose coach is saying he might not go. Osaze forget abt them....he basically wanted bribe, which 1 is body language. In btw...I see no tp striker in dat team....just Moses n Ameobi n they r both supporting strikers

And sometimes there is a place for speaking up even when everyone else pretends or conforms to the norm. This is why nigeria will not move forward. We just hide behind, it is well

Shut up,is your boyfriend hotter than him? He's not kissing ass, which is what Nigerians like ąπϑ everyone is condemning him for being honest about his feelings, mtcheew

Osaze is my mahn, anyday, anytime. Definitely he has been ill treated. Keshi wants to be patronized. Ones body language can express reluctance, but its a different ball game in d field of play. An attacker will always want to score goals.

There is noting bad in w†̥ђA̶̲̥̅†̥‎ osase odemwingie is saying, there is no way ♈σϋ can serve Nigerian that ♈σϋ will not later blame yourself, when okocha realise to himself he quickly resign to super eagle. Let ask our self why is it that NFF always call for new coach for every competition we go for. Osase has say so that chop α̲̅πϑ run is w†̥ђA̶̲̥̅†̥‎ our coach Α̲̅я̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ doing. Since ℓ̊ started watching super turkey match in every competition they always go with a new coach that will train with them for only 3 months α̲̅πϑ after that millions of Naira has gone. Osase ♈σϋ heard known, ♈σϋ should have played for Ūя̲̅ mother country than Niggezie

absolute nonsense. Merit is dead in Nigeria...I bet Osaze already cut his losses in is mind before taking to twitter. It hurts them because he brought their level of courruption and favouritism to the forefront.

Nigerian football has been dead since Clemens Westerhof. Comatose because of corruption its about time somebody spoke out instead of all this common yes sir, yes sir, here's the money sir boys...well done Osaze God will enrich you

What he said in Russian in response to Victor Ikpeba in his tweet translates thus: "You're not a prince, but rather a princess. You do not pull. So, let's GOODBYE!". He used some Russian slangs which complicate translation a bit but word 4 word this was what he said.

Thank heavens someone is bold enough to tell these THINGS off.Gosh!Upon all the disgraceful show of shame in the last world cup.Oh,will they send him to JAIL for telling the truth?(Chuckles)Osaze, forget them and go back to Russia where you are highly appreciated.

Anonymous said...

Osaze, please move on. They are looses. You have paid your dues. Allow their wives and concubines to lick their dry asses. Super chicken is dead. NFF is buried. Must people lick asses before things get done in this country? Keshi might as well double as coach and goalkeeper for all I care. Iranu.

Pls mind ur grammar d fact dat u r angry doesn't mean u should blow off our heads.

Anonymous said...

Stupid goat. Upload your picture let's see that your gorilla face and stature. He should not worry his head about Super Eagles. They will rather use half-baked players that kiss their ass instead of choosing a team that can get Nigeria to the top. "His body language did not show he was interested???" WTF? So is sychophancy the yeye coach wants. Typical unenlightened Nigerian.

HIAN!See bad english oh anonymous december 27, 2:27pm..... biko use spell check next time lol

osaze lemme speak our language to you. wa to ta aiye wa. SILENCE IS GOLDEN NAHHH even if your body doesn't want to play for the national team again your mouth must not say it nahhh its called verbal diaorehea

Anonymous said...

If he dint speak out no one will no what has been happening, yea he might leave but its an eye opener, we too like eye service for naija, play me cos am gud and will win the game not play me cos am ur friend or lick ur ass. That y we will never go forward in this contry.

Anonymous said...

Fuck keshi. When he was big boss and choosing players did anyone complain? If Osaze were his brother and dropped from the national team after helping to qualify the country won't he be angry. Man city has worst players in Balotelli and Tevez yet the coach uses them for his good. How many s/e players play in a team better than westbrom(since una call am small) and who is better than osaze in that team? As a coach all you tell him is 'boy I have future plans for you'. it will keep him in check(its called player management) ode oshi. -newyorker

Anonymous said...

Y r u quick to insult someone for airing his opinion?u be fool o.

Anonymous said...

wat den wil Mancini say to tevez n baloteli. i swear keshi is not a coach. its a pity he cudñt learn from dissuasion mistake.... diz Guy is daft! !!!

Am in support of Osaze... No matter wat
NFF are just bunch of people that are satisfying their financial urge
They don't care about the fans...
