Illegals from Chad and Niger were also caught as the infamous 2010 highway armed robbers in the North east and North central of this Country! Kano state also had a case of illegals from Niger that caused Chaos in 2008 which made headlines! There were a settlement of over 9000 pple,who had come to live and work at the outskits of a local govt in Kano! Our broaders have always been loose! It's so sad! Illegals from Togo in Lagos loads of them, illegals from Cameron living in Taraba,Adamawa and some parts of Gombe! The list is endless... It's So Sad! Lots of crime s commited by "Nigerians" are mostly not by Nigerians(although we too get our own wahala, but still) Honestly The officials are not doing enough! God help us!

Wow, this is just Sad, I'm a Ghanaian, but I'm legal in Nigeria. Residence and work permit,Immigration papers and all.but the immigration officers make it so difficult, I'm lucky I can afford to pay the "extra transport and commission" just to renew my legal papers every 2yrs most of these pple tied up there can't afford that kinda money, that's why they are being treated unfairly. Coz if it was just the official amount of about 3000 naira, they may have paid it. Instead of the about 50,000 I have to cough out each time . @ Shakara, do u know how many illegal Nigerians are in Ghana? Check out the electronic market there and businesses. I'm sorry u feel that way about Ghanaians. Coz I consider nigeria my home, this being my 20th year here. Although I still retain my Ghanaian citizenship. @Waxy, what a ridiculous thing to say- Nigerians are treated inhumanely in other countries when they are being deported- you only need to get on a KLM flight from Amsterdam to Lagos or Abuja to see what I am talking about- deportees are sent back on the same flight as normal paying passengers and the scene is distressing to say the least. What about those Nigerians who were killed in Libya??? What about Nigerians deported from South Africa without even a chance to pick up their clothes?? Kenyans hate Nigerians with a passion too, so please please think before you accuse our immigration officers of human rights abuses- they are only doing what other countries are doing to Nigerians
