President Jonathan Appoints 18 Aides

The aides according to a release obtained by the The Will are...

1. Mike A. Oghiadomhe, CFR, Chief of Staff to the President
2. Eng. Mohammed Kachalla Abubakar, mni, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President
3. Amb. Hassan Tukur, Principal Secretary to the President
4. Prof. Abubakar Sambo, Special Adviser to the President on Energy
5. Mrs. Sarah Akuben Pane, Special Adviser to the President on Social Development
6. Dr. Tunji Olagunju, Special Adviser to the President on NEPAD
7. Mrs. Sarah Jibril, Special Adviser to the President on Ethics and Values
 
8. Mr. Oronto Douglas, Special Adviser to the President on Research and Strategy
9. Senator Joy Emordi, Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters
10. Hon. Kingsley Kuku, Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs

11. Dr. Pius Olakunle Osunyikanmi, Special Adviser to the President on International Relations
12. Prof. Dan Adebiyi, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties
13. Dr. Rueben Abati, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity
14. Mrs. Asma’u Abdulkadir, Special Adviser to the President on Gender Issues
15. Nze Sullivan Akachukwu Nwakpo, Special Adviser to the President on Technical Matters
16. Yakubu Abdullahi, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters (Office of the Vice President)
17. Barr. Bashir Sufyan, Special Adviser to the President on Legal Matters (Office of the Vice President)
18. Senator Isaiah Ballat, Special Adviser to the President for Special Duties (Office of the Vice President)

A statement from the Secretaty to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim Pius said, “The Special Advisers would be sworn-in on Thursday, 7th July, 2011, by 2.00 p.m. at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.”

18 aides? Isn't that too much?

What happened to Bianca Ojukwu? That was short lived then.

Mrs Sarah Jubril; that's the closest she will get to the seat of power. I say congrats!

Mrs. Asma’u Abdulkadir, Special Adviser to the President on Gender Issues- I wonder if she will get some work done or just roll back and forth to her office because she has become to fat from theft.

Yes, sister Linda, it def. seems like a lot of new positions. However, I'm sure these are some of the people Jonathan promised to help out when he was still running for presidency. You know black people always got to help a brother out.

And I see they created a new position for the affairs of the national cake (Niger Delta). You know they have to protect where they get their extra vacation money to "overseas". Carry go meatballs!!!

Reuben Abati, if you cant beat them, then join them. I'll like to know your net worth after the 4yrs.

Haba all these positions can be filled by the ministers, all 30 of them. This one na just chop and quench.

I'm sure most dont even know full description of their duties!

Special Adviser to the President on Internal Violence/Security aka Bombing and Kidnapping Issues.

I mean if you have Technical Affairs, Niger Delta Affairs, etc...then why not LOL

Why can't the ministers advise the president on these issues?

Why cant house of assembly or senate have committees that advise the president on these issues?

what a waste of resources!!!...the unseriousness of jonathan to deliver good governance is now beginning to manifest....40 ministers and 18 advisers!!!What a waste...we live a lie in nigeria....Shakespears probably had naija in mind when he writes "Oh judgement! thou has fled to brutish beast and men have lost their reasons"

Special adviser on 'ethics & Values'!!! special adviser on 'gender issues'!!!! what excatly will those people be advising on? Guys make una no worry, when u vote me as president, i will make all u lindaikeji bloggers one special adviser or the other and trust me, i will have loads of them - special adviser on tailoring affairs, makeup, photography,smiling affairs, yabis issues........etc.make una no worry too much, the time is soon.hehehehe

I am Cameroonian and our government is far from the best but chai!!! U guys should cut Jonathan some slack and let him hire as many as he wants to jare.

Nigeria's estimated population for July 2011 is 155,215,573people ... from where i stand 18 is about right. lol

oga presido, u do well o, atleast, he has fulfilled part of his promises when been elected as president.

(1) job opportunity
(2) NEPA etc

so he is trying to make he's promise come true, therefor, dat is the job creation which he talked about. congrats to those people. "We nko sir".
