Anon 1.30pm. Please don't be ignorant. You can donate blood if you have tattoo and/or piercing(s). Most countries require you wait 4/6/12 months after you get one before you donate.
Source: I have 3 tattoos and I donate blood twice every year in the US.

medically i dnt think it is right for a 60yr old man to be donating...even when the blood has been checked for viruses and found free.
