Quote of the day...

“My father's blood that was sacrificed for democracy allowed Iyabo Obasanjo's father [Olusegun Obasanjo] to be President. You cannot sacrifice me again.” - Lola Abiola Edewor (Abiola's daughter], vowing to protect her victory at the PDP senatorial primary in Ogun State where she beat Iyabo Obasanjo to clinch the party's ticket, 9 January.

She used the word "again!" Is this the second time she's had this experience? She's suddenly found her voice. I cannot remember any remarkable project she did in her 8years as a House of Reps member. She was in AD/ACN then and has now moved to PDP. PDP? Doesn't she know some of her father's enemies are there? This battle will be won by OBJ and not her Godfather OGD. I'm not a fan of Lola or Iyabo, but Iyabo does a lot for her community/constituency in Ogun state.

oh dear, here comes the battle of the two daddies and please remember, it was not only your daddy who fought for democracy in nigeria- shehu yar'adua lost his life for defying abacha, ken saro-wiwa and 15 other ogoni men lost lost their lives for defending the ogoni people. numerous others have died in the fight for democracy in nigeria and we should honor them collectively rather than singling out individuals!

Naijas! True, I can't remember what Lola did in the House of Reps years ago but I also can't remember what others did. Unremarkable as she was to the public, her constituents re-elected her. I prefer unremarkable to scandalous. I remember Iyabo's term well, changing her name to sign corrupt contracts till oyinbos exposed her, jumping fence to escape EFCC then being detained for exchange of Ghana must go. There's no time for her antecedents here. And I'm from there and know my facts. In every State, the Governor rules the party. Iyabo knows she can't get a ticket from OGD's PDP after that shameful physical scuffle. She tried ACN, they didn't want her so she's using her usual desperate ogboju. How can she conduct her own primaries after she submitted to screening by the authentic committee? Why can't she answer that question? Did you buy WAEC forms, take their number then say you're doing your exam in your house and its valid? And people are supporting her. And you saying many people died for democracy what is your point? Nigerians deserve their bad leaders.
