Does anybody know what role Stedman plays in Oprah's life. she talks about Gayle but not much about Stedman, who is supposed to be her partner of more than 2 decades
O yes she is. Stedmann is a front and I believe Oprah will come out of the closet when she eventually leaves the network next year. It is very glaring that Gayle and Oprah are an item. Gayle is the dominant while Oprah is the recessive one.
Whether she is lesbian or not is not an issue. I am not a fan of her programme but I believe this black woman has broken walls, empowered and opened doors for uncountable women. Seeing a black woman in her position is inspiring to younger black women in particular and women in general. Lesbian or no lesbian she is an achiever and that's all we aim to be in this life - achievers!
What happened to good old friendship? Now same sex friendship is being taken for something else. She's not a lesbian, Let it go! @ anonymous,Stedman is still the main man in Oprah's life and she talked about that during this interview. Once you get the chance to watch the full interview, you'd realise she spoke alot about the love,the lover, the partner, the man, and the mate of her life...and that's Stedman.

The tears: Just because Oprah is very popular does not mean she does not have issues...... Definitely, i believe Gayle has stood with her at her very difficult times, and through thick and thin, thus the tears. This is one woman i respect very much, and all the best to her in the next step in her life.

the world has become so corrupt that even friendships are tainted. i remember when i was in js 1-3, i used to throw my arm over around my friend who was a girl and nobody was accusing us of being lesbians. guys used to be able to do that as well without being accused to being gay, now you can't express affection without someone thinking you are being perverse etc. I tire abeg!

I love her show and I very much doubt she's gay. Even if she were, @ this level in her career, her coming out as being gay would even make her greater and a lot more successful than she is now.
