#mysterlingmum died in 2002 but she is the best mum ever, she was a single mum base in the villa, far away in obudu, Cross River State, my sterling mum did all kinds of odd jobs including weeding of grass for money, carrying of load, selling akara, moi moi at some point, serious farm work which she might go by 6am and comes back home at 7pm. my sterlingmum most times comes back from that tedious work cook little food she has for me nd my brother and she goes to bed hungry. she wake late in the night lay her hands on us and pray blessings into our lives till morning. In all these she will tell me i am not a graduate but i promise to train you and your brother to the highest level of education (she had to drop out of school in JS3 when she became pregnant wit me and i had the opportunity of meeting one of her class mates in secondary school who saw us while going to one of her hard labor work, he came down from his car and weep seriously telling me how brilliant my mum was and how she was the one pple run to for help in doing assignment and preparing for exams). True to her word she constantly made sure our education was her priority and wasn't lacking until she bow to the wicked cold hands of death in 2002 when i newly gained admission into LASU mgt science Faculty as a result of chest pain she sustain from too much labor. Her training and desire to see me succeed gave me the courage to face my education squarely to fufil her dream. i battle my education mysef and i knw she is proud of seeing how i have well have tried. #mysterlingmum will for ever be alive and a diamond in my lfe.
