Photos: Teenage female suicide bomber killed in Maiduguri blast

A teenage girl said to be between 10-15 years old was killed in Maiduguri on New Year Eve after an explosion from a improvised explosive device strapped to her body.
The explosion occurred around the popular Customs area, along the Maiduguri-Gamboru road about 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 31. "She was the only one that died in the explosion," said Abba Sheriff, an eyewitness said.

The Borno police public relations officer, Victor Isuku, who confirmed the incident could not provide more details. He, however said that "preliminary details available is that only the suicide bomber affected."
