Tonight, at the just concluded Glo CAF awards, Riyad Mahrez was crowned the new African Football King. While Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi won the Youth Player of The Year award, Asisat Oshola went home with the Women’s Player of the Year award and the CAF Platinum Award was presented to President Buhari. Congratulations to Mahrez, he deserves the glory. I think I couldn't hold back tears when Mamelodi Sundown emerged as the best African team as I remembered the plight of Enyimba of Aba. The impact of misrule has denied Enyimba a place in African football and worst we are playing in Calabar now after this governor turned our stadium into an abandoned project
