That's why your "husbands" travel country to country and marry other women... because you had a big party but no legally binding document to certify your union. That also why you get thrown out by greedy inlaws.. that why when your men travel they leave your ass behind to be brought later...That piece of paper is most important than any party you can have.
Court makes your marriage legal. It is the one government, foreigners, courts recognizes. A man can marry many wives traditionally....but he's legally wedded court wife is the one who has access to His property esp if he does w/o a will.

The reason is that, Ikoyi registry is one of the few recognize from Nigeria internationally cos its federal. You don't find many federal registry around. Pictures proof goes along way in courts.
