Stunning beauty Precious John represented Gombe state in the just concluded Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant and I was one of the many who were shocked that she didn't make the top15. I thought she deserved to be in the top 5. She was even the number trending topic on twitter on the day of the pageant. Agbani Derego was dark skinned and won, i don't believe silver bird deliberately choose lighter skin ladies, it just happens that among the ladies who turned out for the beauty pageant the lighter skin ladies where more beautiful. With an exception to 2009 (Glory Chukwu) and 2012 (Isabella Ayuk). The rest have been of caramel complexion to high yellow. Nigerians sha. We are the only African country that does this. South Africans on the other hand will pick a white, Indian, or "colored" girl. Can't we take a cue from miss Ghana who was dark chocolate and came 2nd runner up.
