Photos: #BringBackOurGirls protests hold in Newyork and D.C

Nigerians living in New York City took to the streets of New York yesterday to protest the kidnap of over 250 Chibok schoolgirls. They were joined by other non-Nigerians who walked with them in solidarity. The protesters all adorned Africa headgear as they walked the streets and finally stopped at the Union Square in New York. Another group protested in D.C. See more photos after the cut...

Oh ok, sweetheart, is not Newyork, is New York, two words, as the name their colonist, the English gave them after the Roman City of York England. History lesson #1.

Nigerians protesting in NY, that's comical. Why can't they go back to Abuja and protest in front of the State house, forcing Jonathan to get away from under his fat wife or some huchie of the moment he is shagging, and do something instead of wasting time here seeking media attention. Like America would chose 250 children over Russia, Afghanistan, Irag, next election where the DEMS are trying to win majority in the House...

Shut up, do u have brain @all? Why can't you know that they can't paste them out for the public. They probably don't want the kidnapers to know how deep dey've gone on the investigation.

Another one is happening @ Nigeria High Commission 9 Northumberland Avenue London (nearest station Charing Cross or Embankment) on Monday 05/05/14 from 12 noon. Let's stand in solidarity

No single picture of the abducted girls, no northern group has protested since the abduction, and no one has identified themselves as parents of the so claimed abducted girls. I'm still watching this nollywood movies, just that I can't predict them this time around.

What is this protest actually meant to achieve? Are we appealing to the federal govt, or boko haram?

Anonymous said...

True, they shd publish their pix.this evil people can do anything to rubbish the govt

Anonymous said...

Do they have to release names and pictures! What difference would that make other than putting more risks and stigma to the girls that escaped? If you saw any one of them now, what do you want to tell her? Nigerians are so insensitive sometimes, I know you would be among the faggots sending those worthless BCs on bbm! Just put yourself in their shoes, would you want your names and pictures published?

I was shedding tears when I find out the effort of foreigners who are not Nigerians are putting in the struggle to get this innocent girls released from their captors why NLC is just silent about the plight of our girls, NLC is only concern with pump price and salary increment I expected NLC to have given the FG ultimatum of 3 days to secure the release of this girls from their captor or declare a nation wide strike until this girls gain back there freedoms. If you believe in the true struggle of this #BringOurGirlsBack plz spread this with friends and love ones.

Anonymous said...

At least, they are pulling their fingers out and doing something. WHAT ARE YOU DOING to ensure the girls are found other than hiding behind anonymity and typing gabbage?!! Mschew!

Unknown said...

Thanks pls let fast and pray. I believe God will answer our prayers.

Anonymous said...

I sld see pained sad faces n nt happy smiley ones....gud initiative tho

Alloy Chikezie said...

I pray that all this protest brings not only those chibok girls, but also engineers the peace we all crave in this country and make Nigeria a Better place, just like the revolution in south Africa during the time of the apartheid, who is joining me in this praying and saying. Amen?

My thots exactly! There should be a compilation of names& pictures. For God's sake, 200+ isn't 10! I expected the parents or principal of the school to come up with pictures. God alone knows best.

I'm watching with u @ anony 5:41. I think these northern rulers are just trying to frustrate d govt. Y can't d names of d students be published?

At you all wondering and asking stupid question and saying the girls are not missing. You people should keep wondering. Ok? You tell me if the press is supposed to be walking up nd down with the parents of the victims. They obviously have a reason for not disclosing such information which might be security reasons. I even believe the press should stop informing us about what and what steps the govt intend doing in order to find those girls cos I'm sure the kidnappers also listen to news, read papers and stuff and they would obviously use the information to act. So you just keep asking questions and keep wondering, that's cos you not in their shoes. Wonder how some people reason atimes. #AngryMuch

I can remember when a guy shot sum gurls in a high school at conecticut, immediately, there names and pictures were on the screen, immediately there was a speech by president Obama nd the governor of conecticut, immediately CCN paused all other informations and focused on those students. not even a picture or names of these children, its possible for a passerby to see one of these girls and walk away, its possible that one of them must have crossed the road but because of charms, they cant speak, (no be naija we dey) everyday the numbers keeps changing from 267, 234, 279, etc and our archaic newscasters keep giving us a download of how GEJ is in one meeting or the other, well I cant really blame our so called mama peace since I heard she doesnt have a child of her own so she might not know what these mothers are going through, even your "oyinbo", we never hear, pls ma after these crisis change your name from mama peace, I will suggest "Anonymous" so that we'll be fully convinced that you are not there at all, God help us all, God help our girls, God help Nigeria, God help us bring back our girls
