There are audible echoes across the globe that Africa is where the future lies. Its people are the carriers of that future and its land ready to lead that future.
A billion reasons to believe in Africa aren’t satisfiable because at just a mere glance at this beautiful continent and its people we behold a TRILLION REASONS. Where do I start from? Is it how we overcame the whips of colonization and emerged from that dark chapter of our history bigger, brighter and better? Or how a single individual, our hero, a living legend Nelson Mandela overcame aphides that caused conflict and division among a people, not with guns or bullets but with words of hope, justice, and equality sending a powerful message to the world at large? Those who still harbor doubts that Africa has nothing to offer should look back to 2010 how the world cup was hosted on our soil in a grand style showcasing our hospitality, beauty, love for peace, and collective cooperation. Our immerse contribution to sport is more than a billion reasons to believe in Africa. Look to every football club in any part of the world and you would see an African player who is not only instrumental to the club but is also proud to hail from the black continent, showing the world a billion reasons to believe in the skills and talents that Africans possess in the world of football.
Our contribution to knowledge say Education is phenomenal. As a continent, we have produced one of the greatest philosophers of all times SAINT AUGUSTINE the Christian philosopher, pioneering the fields of philosophy and psychology. His words light up our world till date. “men go abroad to wonder at the heights of the mountains, the huge waves of the sea, the long course of the river, the vast compass of the ocean, the circular motion of the stars but they pass themselves and don’t even notice” such wisdom emerging from a continent most of us looked down on.

We are humbled by our contributions and achievements in various aspects of human existence, we are not also blind to the fact that we are not perfect people, we know our limit but the beauty of the African Spirit is that we are not afraid to dare, try and reach for obviously the impossible, because of our belief in what we have, what we share and who we are – Africans.

You can tour the white house for the sake of experience but if by chance you get into the oval office you would see a tall, handsome, slim black man around his fifties, they refer to him as Mr. President. In the whole country he is referred to by that name because that is who he is, the President of the United States of America. You wonder why he is black right. Just ask an African and they’ll tell you his father farmed on the African soil, lived on the African soil and was born on the African soil and further produced the First black African President of the United States of America.
