The affidavit comes just a day after the Federal Government re-instated the airline's operating license, and a few days after a retired pilot, Dele Ore and the Civil Aviation Round Table Initiative, went to court to end the inquest on the basis that the Lagos State Coroners’ System Law is inapplicable to deaths arising from aviation accidents.

Dana Air files affidavit to support a motion to end inquest into crash
The affidavit comes just a day after the Federal Government re-instated the airline's operating license, and a few days after a retired pilot, Dele Ore and the Civil Aviation Round Table Initiative, went to court to end the inquest on the basis that the Lagos State Coroners’ System Law is inapplicable to deaths arising from aviation accidents.

Let God do the judging, and grant those familities a forgiving heart, bcos I believe they feel so cheated right now.
Irresponsible government!! I know what I have gone thru, having lost my husband in d crash. Why the hurry? Cursed leaders who would rather lick the feet of these particular Indian opportunists: Yes, life must go on; but what are d key learnings to forestall future occurrence? O Nigeria!! Na coconut tree wey fall, na I'm make goat fit climb am. Short sighted leaders, who have long sold their birthright for crumbs of bread. 153 people died. Alas, who cares? Afterall, no minister or senator or oga president's family member was involved.
There are simply no words anymore. This is just despicable. Proper investigations need to be done. Furthermore everyone please sign the petition and boycott Dana Air at http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/boycott-stop-dana-air-from-operating-again-in-nigeria. Nigerians stand up and fight let our voices be heard. Also please boycott the Dana Group...learn more about the companies they own at www.danagroup.com.
Dele Ore abi? Ta lon je ore won? Awon oloshi!!! Useless sell outs. Everyone getting involved in thwarting justice for the innocent dead and their relatives, for any reason or the other, they should know they all have blood on their hands.
This outright injustice with impunity by DANA air mgt and the Nigerian govt is just so appalling! I DISLIKE NIGERIA!!!! I hate the fact that if I decide to carryout a protest or riot today, instead of getting support from the oppressed masses, I will be castigated once they have received bribe and sold out their freedom! Bunch of cowardly losers. This oppression is getting to much! Haba!!!
The Govt gets away with anything they please. We desperately need a RAWLINGS in Nigeria. I'm so angry tonight.
WTF, na human lifes be all this rubbish talk? SHIT.
Ha! Im mrs anonymous
What a sham and effontry.....Shame on the state of the justice system. The airline should be crippled and paralysed .
Dats beta, but wat happened to dana was an accident & it cud happen to any oda Airline. We just dnt pray for such tins. They are gud & almost de newest airline, i cnt wait for. Dem to start flyin again, i really luv Dana. All de best tho.....
Abeg who wants die, dana will so nt see me book wid dem anymore,I know dey will be more careful dis time around, buh dose thoughts of d crash wid dana air....... Can't leave me
This is not a call to petition the Nigerian government, because I have absolutely no faith in their ability to do the right thing (they already proved that). My sister-in-law, Ijeoma Onyiuke, was killed in the Dana Air crash on June 3rd, 2012. We only recently recovered her body, and have not laid her to rest yet. I woke up to the devastating news that the same airline whose license was promptly suspended when the crash occurred has now been reinstated just within three months of the incident. Accidents do happen, right? Yes, but this was no accident. This was greed, negligence and complete disregard for human life that cost our family and may others our loved ones. This was the product of a society that continues to breed greed and ostentatious indulgence.
The power is in the hands of the citizens to BOYCOTT Dana Air and put them out of business. They put human lives ahead of profits and now it is time to put them out of our lives. No petition will make much of a difference in a society where there is a price placed on human lives, but we can change our behavior in an impactful way for the good of our society.
Sandra Onyiuke
@Sexily endowed...it was not just an accident...it was done on purpose due to greed. This accident could have been easily prevented. For you to say that you cant wait for them to start flying again is absolutely shameful. What if your loved one, friend, etc. died how would you feel. Please they need to be stopped and not be allowed to fly again because if this happened once they will surely do it again since there are no repercussions for their actions. Furthermore we as Nigerians need to boycott all of the Dana Group's companies including KFC, Chellarams, Oldenburger, Woolworths, Kia Motors, Danaplast to name a few. Let us put a stop to them for good.
STFU! Ewu! You did ur own investigation to find out it was an accident dat could be avoided or couldn't ?! Maybe u are warming "mr dana" bed that's why u write trash! Nonsense! *sumbody pikin*
@Ms Nne after dat den wat? Yes none of my loved ones were involved but it doesn't mean i didn't sympathize wit de ones dat did lost their loved ones. Lufe goes on, Dana is α business & nobody shud ask dat his/her business shud be shut down 4ever. Dana has paid de lil prize as α company, they shud be given α second chance, everyone deserves α second chance includin u & M̶̲̅ε ok. I'll fly dem once they start flyin, they are gud airline PERIOD
Pls sign the petition to boycott Dana airlines and companies here http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/boycott-stop-dana-air-from-operating-again-in-nigeria# Think of all those little kids on board crying in fear as the plane crashed, imagine they are yours and you cannot save them from a painful death. As long as we keep quiet and grumble to ourselves nothing will change in this country, we will hear of more tragedies on our roads, air, rivers, hospitals, etc. The only way our leaders can take us serious and make this country fit for human living is when we force them to. As long as their children and loved ones are not affected, they really don't give a damn. Nigerians tell them enough is enough, no more toying with our lives!
Nigeria nigeria.... This is the reason why we will never prosper, Corrupt Society. Corrupt leaders. I fly dana all the time, but this is an eye opener. I knew it would come 2 this. Its only in nigeria that a plane will crash and the black boxes will be missing. That plane had problems and they know this. Wat ever happend to the nigerian cargo ship that was missing... May God help us.
All of you defending Dana Airliens should imagine for once the little kids on board that plane. Imagine their confusion and fear as they saw and heard chaos all around them. Imagine how helpless their parents must have felt being unable to save their precious babies from such a horrific and painful end. I am a mother of a young boy and I was tormemted for weeks by that imagination. Pls don't let their deaths be in vain.
Let Dana be accountable for their actions, let the investigations be completed before they are allowed to fly again, we owe it to those little kids. If we refuse to do the right thing by saying "it has happened, forget the past, etc" , no lessons will be learnt and we may witness another tragedy and this time it may affect you or your loved one.

Thank you Theresa well said...
BOYCOTT DANA. Nigerians like Sexii are passive and will sit back until it is you that is on the manifest (God forbid it sha IJN). This suffer and smile attitude is what has gotten us to this point. Make una dey siddon dey look. Indian man will use you, make money.
We sabi sharp mouth but when it comes to action...shii shii.
U dey craze! They would be given the second chance with ur life! Am very sure if u lost someone u won't be talking this bulshit! Just shut the fuck up right now!!! Arrrrrgh!
Fly them ok,they need ur blood to sacrifice for Nigeria..Ozuo
@ sexily endowed, you are a shame to every living thing in this universe.I think an ewedu leaf even has more value than you.Since you dont value human life, you own life is valueless!!!
It's obvious that serious money has changed hands, so I won't be surprised if this request is granted.
See my blog.. http://ashirigbakaute.blogspot.com/
Ur so on point! 2 bad ds country will neva move 4wad as long as MONEY is d god in ds country.
GOd will surely judge!
Bia, look! Sexily endowed or whatever you call yourself, shut up if you don't have anything to say. If you wish to continue flying Dana, then I wish you a safe flight to...just don't make comments that are insulting to the memories of the lost lives or that ll anger their relatives. If it were possible, I would have designed your mouth for you with dana! Ode!
People need to stop, this is to a fight for God this is a fit God have already fought for Nigeria, not what is required is for Nigerians to use their sense that God gave them to make the right decision concerning themselves... Is simple, if u want Dana airline to close shop in 9ja, then JUST DON'T FLY DANA AIRLINE, sound pretty simple, if they are not making obey, they will be forced to go, Nigerians need to stop calling. God God and start using the brains God gave them, haba!
I think we all should be objective about this. And if we are, we would see that this is the worst case of insensitivity!!! I was still trying to understand the basis for lifting the ban - have they suddenly acquired new aircrafts or at the minimum, 2nd hand aircrafts that are deemed technically fit? Was an international/neutral body involved in the audit that led to the lifting of the ban??? Some questions mos def need to be answered.
Now a day after the ban was lifted, Dana files this outrageous affidavit to stop the investigations into the crash??/ Something so doesn't add up. It feels like they settled the right people and were just waiting for the ban to be lifted.
I support the boycott. Why? Because there are too many gaps and this move is insensitive and will hurt their business. I do not have to lose someone to know this is wrong!
SUPPORT THE BOYCOTT AND SIGN THE PETITION HERE: http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/boycott-stop-dana-air-from-operating-again-in-nigeria
@Ms Nne, r u jst stuipd or ur acting stupid jst to get kudos from pple on dis blog?? What bz does KFC,kia motors and other Dana compaines have to do with d airline? So we that av kia cars sud park it,or we that enjoying buying tk outs from kcf sud be coming to ur house for meals? Abeg shift ur stupidity elsewhere it cud b contegious ooo #longhiss#...Efe says so.
I will not sign any petition cos I don't have what it takes to see such petition through. I have signed other petitions before and I can't tell you how they all ended.
Simply what I'll do is that I will make sure that I, MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS AND ALL THOSE THAT I CAN INFLUENCE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER WILL NEVER FLY DANA AGAIN EVEN IF THEY ARE THE ONLY AIRLINE LEFT. That's my petition and I don't need any govt to assist me see this through.
@anon 9:32 you've forgotten that a serving minister lost her husband in d crash, even many FG workers died. I don't blame them. They are lookin 4 investors in a country wit security issues. They wnt drive away they one that has contributed a lot to their economy. If they are releasing licences, they shd remember sosoliso and bellview and ADC. Itz not fair. Is it bcos dana has lots of coys here. God have mercy and giv strength to relations of those killed by these crashes,to accept things they can't change. .
Der is certainly no more hope 4 dis country
is this country cursed???
Only God knows why t'he government will allow such a thing. It lacks depth and human feeling. By lifting this ban, what lesson would have been learnt? TE NO TÉ ONE in my family will evr fly DANA again
Clear example of a BIMBO = @sexily endowed (that's if in reality, u don't look like an ape with weaves). BIMBO = Beauty with an empty skull. Pls go for a total skull overhaul.
Funny enuf, all these coys u mentioned owned by DANA, are registered under a single buz name. They bribe where necessary, so they are taxed on a single buz outfit and not all of them. These garlic eating porcupine smelling indians are just taking Nigerians for a ride.
Hello My Sweet Linda,
As for me, i think if they are to be given their license back, they should be banned for at least 12 months to mourn and respect the victims of the fatal crash. Also they should be well inspected and checked so such will not repeat itself.
just for laughs visit, Too Funny.

Follow @Boycott_DanaAir on Twitter to support this cause. If we can't stop the authorities from lifting the ban on Dana's operating licence, at least we can campaign for Nigerians to boycott Dana flights. Only in Nigeria will such a tragedy be treated in such a shabby manner by a govt.
Pls follow the movement @Boycott_DanaAir today. Together we can do it.
Correct ozuo! So bcause knw dem we shld allow dem fly so more human lives wld b lost! Oloriburuku somebody!
Indians come to this country to rip us off and make money, the same goes for lebanese and chinese folks, why do you think they don't take their businesses to other countries like SA or Angola to name afew? Cause they know 80% of the citizens here are so blind to see the cheap, rejected items they have to offer and that money rules a lot of things in nigeria. Will it be a bad idea for us to start owning those kind of businesses here? Do they have 3 heads that makes them better than us? Without our money these guys will be nowhere today, trust me, we need to start looking for what we are doing wrong and start making them right!
Go to south africa and you'll see that 80% of businesses there are run by south africans, SPAR, Nandos, e.t.c!
The fact is, Nigeria has become a dumping ground for rejected investers that have tried other countries who won't take their crap and risk the lives of their citizens. We need to wake up, seriously!!! Little cheap things excite people when the reverse should be the case.
Nigeria judiciary system, Shame!
Warri Girl
If u boycot them en they came back using another name?. Am confused o
if stella or jonathans family died in that crash would dey release dana's license NO. if senators or house of rep memebers died in that crash would dey suspend the investigation into the crash NO but as it is ordinary citizens now dem no care.
okay my own be say anybody wey fly dana again does so at his or her own risk and don say you were not warned. the crash was sometin that could have been avoided plain and simple. just imagine those children as well as others on board how fearful dey must have been very painful....
wow!!!!
Dana air is just taking the piss!
My naija people, can we all agree to boycott Dana air??? If our corrupt govt doesn't care because they are so busy cruising in their PJ's, let those of us who have the financial power cripple Dana's business.
That would also serve as an eye opener to the other airlines to seat up and not mess with passengers lives. selah
Abeg if stella and her assistants want us to trust DANA, they should fly it or make it their official carrier for the next few months but I didn't forget she has her own plane.!H!A!H!A! My dear Nigeria
let us insist that all necessary check has been done with a few more months for mourning.
I REGRET VOTING THAT BASTARD FOR PRESIDENT!!!
Can this really be happening??? Why are Nigerians taking this lightly??? Have we forgotten so quickly !!! God No... Please let justice prevail...
