The Senate Committee, Managing Director of the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company, PPMC, a subsidiary of the NNPC, Mrs. Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue, stated that Nigeria has lost a total of 531 million litres of petrol valued at over N50 billion to pipeline vandals between January and September, 2015, at the System 2B Pipeline network which covers from the Atlas Cove in Lagos to Ilorin.
Nnamdi-Ogbue said that the continuous vandalization of pipeline at the Arepo to Mosimi axis of the pipeline artery, have made the supply of petroleum products to retail outlets difficult.
She said PPMC is doing everything they can to make sure they supply truck-out from depots in Lagos, Oghara and recently Calabar.
She, however, noted that the efforts to supply enough fuel across the country are being hampered by the activities of some unscrupulous marketers involved in hoarding and diverting of petroleum products for sale in black markets across the country.
She said:
“We view this as a distortion to the economy and we have invited the DSS and the EFCC to take action.”

CHANGE ! Always giving one excuse or the other. Thank God they didn't say is Goodluck Ebere Jonathan.
This govt, always looking for who to blame.
~D great anonymous!
We don hear.....since 1976
they should stop this blame game and sort the mess out. is it today the know the system is corrupt.
Why is Nigeria like this? A country with few or no patriots? A country with people who are swift to sabotage the system? A country with people who can mindlessly kill others (even their own family) for selfish monitary gains? Who are the accupants of Nigeria, humans or demons?
Surely Nigeria is awashed with people with traits described above, and if not checked, it will continue to degenerate on a downward spiral. Granted, poverty level in Nigeria is high, but we do not rank the highest in the world. Even the poorest countries in the world do not have their citizens engaging in such mindless and wicked sabotage of the common wellbeing of the entire citizenry. We are in democracy, but democracy seems to be a booby trap for countries with grossly indisciplined citizenry like Nigeria. Where softer approach fails, the only language the indiscipline understand is force. Nigeria unfortunately has never been under a disciplined governance for even half a decade stretch since her independence from colonial rule. The country has grown from infancy to adulthood wild like a vegabond child without parental control, discipline and nurture. The is the simplest reason why the word "discipline" stirs discomfort to an average Nigerian. Indiscipline is the major root cause of the endermic corruption in Nigeria today, and without a retrace of our steps on the path of discipline, the fight against corruption will end up in sheer rhetorics.
Sorry ooo....but please fix it. Jona complained about it enough and we are tired of hearing it too. Biko do the needful that u were elected to do.

Our problem is very simple....tribalism. till we tackle it ..this will continue. Igbos and Hausas for eg...never come across two more opposite set of people in my life. They can't ever be more different...yet they share a country.
