FirstBank promotes visual arts through First@arts

Firstbank is committed to promoting the Creative Arts industry through its strategic initiative- First@artsbywhich it fosters arts and preserves cultural heritage. To inspire talented Nigerian youths in the visual arts sphere, it sponsored the 9th edition of “Life in My City” visual arts festival targeted at young Nigerian artists below the age of 35 and focused on providing opportunities for participants to make creative descriptions of their environment through art exhibitions.

The Grand finale of the festival which took place on Saturday October 24, 2015at the Nike Lake Resort Hotel Enugu, witnessed 98 artists competing from 11 cities across Nigeria. The Grand Prize winner, Aisien O. Harrison walked away with N500,000 while 29 other participantswalked away with fantastic prizes as well.

To extend the ‘life in my city’festival experience beyond Enugu, Firstbank is also giving out airtime worth NGN50,000 to people on their social media platforms in the “How would you capture your city’ competition.
