According to Sahara Reporters, Mr Kalejaiye was stripped of his SAN rank for allegedly communicating via text message with one of the judges, Thomas Naron, during the election tribunal hearing in the case filed by ex governor Oyinlola against the current governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Mr. Kalejaye had faced an inquiry into his unethical conduct since 2008 when a series of text messages between him and the judge were made public.

Linda get ur facts right before publishing. He was disbarred. The Registrar of the Supreme Court was directed to strike out his name from the list of lawyers in Nigeria.
In otherwords, he is no longer a lawyer permitted to practice in Nigeria. Since he cannot practice law, he is NOT a lawyer anymore. sefini

it is strange how some people who have left comments here seem to be rejoicing at the "downfall" of a man they, in all probability do not even know". Yes there have been allegations of corruption in the judiciary. Yes he may have been found guilty of professional misconduct. But that in my estimation does not warrant some of the comments posted here. One contributor stated that he is arrogant. That even the Panel Members were disturbed by this. Was that contributor a member of the Panel? If not was he in direct communication with a member of the Panel in respect of information that ought to be official and confidential? Please! Whatever our views about this matter I suggest that it should not lead to directing abuse at this man who for all at the end of it all may even be absolved of any blame on appeal. If however any contributor still wants to take delight in the misery of this man please feel free to do so. But remember these words; "ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee."
