The Yobe state police commissioner Sanusi Rufai told the AFP news agency that armed men entered the doctors' flat in the town of Potiskum either late last night or early this morning and slit their throats.
They say a North Korean doctor was beheaded while two others - either North Koreans or Chinese had their throats slit.
The doctors worked at the General Hospital in Potiskum and they routinely travelled through the town without security guards. How sad!

@5:09, many doctors, myself included , do a LOT of volunteer/missionary work though out our careers. I met some of these Korean doctors when I went to Yobe in 2011 and they seemed competent. Just because you don't have the spirit of helping even your mother, doesn't mean you should insult people who do. That's why a lot of us became doctors...to help the less fortunate, and trust me, a lot of very unfortunate things happen in these areas. I was even offered a job in Yobe state, free house, everything., just to come and help them. Have you been to Yobe? It takes a real selfless person to live there....there is NADA there...and now they were murdered. I can only heave a sigh and move on...
