Why do straight women marry gay men?

You see a guy, he's flaming gay, yet some lady marries him. Is it that she doesn't know or she's in denial? What do you think? Please share your thoughts on this....

hehehehe. i laugh in bangladesh. i dated a gay guy once. didnt know he was gay until later, and waited for another 3months because i though he would change and kept praying. Na lie. had to jejely take my leave. Note: he isnt bi-sexual, gay. but needed a girlfriend to cover up for his family. I did really love him tha was why i waited a while. so some women could marry gay men because they love them and hope they'll change, or because they couldnt be bothered with it as long as they are getting action outside of the marriage. So many women in Nigeria are married to gay men, they cant get out of it now, it's too late.

As long as the gay guy is rich, ladies'll fall for him. If money grew on trees, ladies'll date monkeys. Love is TRASH...

I like gay-ish men. They may not be gay but they're gentle, sensitive, communicate well, feed me, and generally are cool with me not trying to be my oga (which would never happen).
I'm in touch with my masculine side - like I can do money, power, and all that. Since I'm not completely girly, I don't need a completely man-ly man.

Jill Scott talks alot of crap! If its not about why Black men are dating outside their race, then its something as ridiculous as this. Who would intentionally want to marry a Gay man? Ask yourself that Jill.

Linda, why the preoccupation with gay/Lesbian stories??? Is this really an issue as far as Nigeria is concerned?? Sincerely how many social gatherings IN NIGERIA (where i presume the bulk of your readers are from)would you find this topic being the subject of discussion??? Pls stop this covert highlighting of Gay/lesbian issues and stop trying to force it down our throats!!!

With one Rangerover sport and a house at Leki the ladies will not give a hoot if he is Gay or not. Most ladies focuses on what you are than who you are.,,,,, If you are an accountant with chevron and you are the chairman of Gays in Nigeria, the ladies will rush you, but say you are straight and you are an okader rider they will run. however gay or no gay I still feel that their are more lesbians than Gays in this our Naija

Gay men.. straight women. Its like a party with a lifetime roommate abeg. He will cry and hold the tissues when they watch chic flicks, he probably will have good taste in clothing, they will shave their legs together and wear pink Pajamas. If he is rich....she don hammer abeg!

Im sure he wont mind her cheating, but if he turns her boyfriends gay..wahala dey.

In as much as it's hard to believe, not all effeminate guys are gay.

It could be an arranged wedding to please the folks of both parties.

Some chics no wan marry these days and marrying a gay guy is a way of living your life without wahala. "una wan force me marry abi? Ok. here you go, i don marry now".
