Dear LIB readers; please answer this question...

Question from a LIB reader. Find it below...
Please help me sort out this problem. In a family where the husband earns N150,000 every month, and the wife earns N750,000 every month and they both work in the same company, and their kids are lacking parental care, love and discipline, who between them should resign and stay home to take care of the kids?

Neither one has to quit their job, they only need to rearrange their schedules.

None of them should quit their job. Its a matter of making it up to the kidsbduring weekends. You look after them. During the weekdays a nanny could b employed to look after the kids while both parents are at work. The wife could use her lunch break for school run. As for parental care and love your kids should feel that from you evry second you spend with them. At least after works hours are spent with the kids and its not like both parents re working 24 houra a day. In summary cooperation between the parents would go a long way while none of them quits their job to look after the kids.

If any must resign, then it should be the man. If the man fails to do so, the woman should divorce the man and enjoy her 750k with her kids

It is the decision that the two parties have to make. The man is the head of the family and the woman is a helper, and she can help in different many ways either financially, morally, domestically and so on.
The man should resign in this kind of situation, knowing fully well that every family have lots of financial need to attend to. Resigning does not make him a lesser man as long as it is a mutual agreement between the two.
And the woman should not look down on the man bcos weather money or no money the man still remains the head of the woman and she should remember that the man sacrificed his job for that of the wife. gbam
