Lol! Reminds me of my third year. I had broken up with my first and long term boyfriend and then I met a guy when I went visiting in Lagos at a mall. The attraction was instant- handsome, well spoken, cultured, tux wearing man- suave, dapper- a real man- not the "boy" I was used to. I blushed and blushed, very shy. I went back to Ph and he'd call me at 5- 6am in the morning- I thought there must be sth there. He went abroad and when he cameback, said he was coming to see me in Ph- he actually had a meeting and said he had a surprise for me. I had "romantcized" the meeting- I felt he'd have brought me stuff. His meeting ended in the evening and we met around 5. We stayed and gisted for about two hours- still no surprise for me. He was beginning to kill the romance for me, and then he says we should "take a stroll, holding hands and looking at the stars". I walked ouut with him and there was traffic everywhere in GRA while I frustratedly tried to summoun up faux feelings of romance when he asked, "isn't this all romantic?" Na booty call you dey find (me sef dey find gift). I just told him I had to go back to school and, suffice to say the all the romance on his face and voice was quickly replaced with deep annoyance. Lol.
