well i dont see the issue here. A common man who is being visited by important people will make the BEST arrangements possible for them, corporate firms do this for important people coming for their meetings, if its buying first class ticket or whatever, govenors send their convoys to pick up their important guests, so if the best way to cater for Kings (weather ya'l like it or not, they are prominent Kings) by the president is by using a private jet, so be it, this is what they call Protocol. it was a meeting, not a 'hi jona, lets catch up'.
Secondly, ya'll are saying 'our tax money', 'our private jet' and all that bs, look at it this way, the Ooni for starters has loads of companies in nigeria, he is paying shit loads of company tax, amount that all your income taxes put together will not amount to, so its his money too abi. So while he has the opportunity to benefit from his tax money by flying with the a private jet, why not you guys too maximize your tax money by getting on the BRT bus, very simple.
well i dont know for deji of akure oo, but for Ooni of ife, i know for a fact the type of royal treatment they give him abroad, in america, uk and all. So it will be absurd if he doesn't get such treatments in his own country.
if not bcos he travels by road most of the time in nigeria, getting a private jet for himself im sure is not a big deal to him, so you guys should stop talking as if its a christmas gift to him to fly on a pj. as for the aides, well you cant separate the King from his men, so thats part of their own enjoyment while he's alive, cos when he dies, you guys wont be part of the servants that will be buried with him or eat his heart (if they still do that), lol.

With all due respect to our traditional rulers,they could have gone in the 1st class of a commercial airline or even a rented jet.when the president uses the private jet of the FRN to pick them and makes sure they are well taken care of please tell me how they will tell him the truth.i am not so sure about the others but the ooni of Ife has been a great dissapointment.he has folicked with any government in power and that is such a shame.they should live above board and should be sought for their opinions on national issues and not be seen as partisan.it all boils down to this love for money at whatever costs.i do hope that you havent gone to further seek your personal interests and even if a little late,you have all finally woken up to your responsiblities to your communities.the word integrity and self worth is fast erdoing in our culture.Lord have mercy
In response to you,i honestly donnot think the issue is them been royally treated.i am looking at it from a different point of view.protocol isnt new anywhere in the world but in the midst of so much poverty????i have read somewhere and thats my greatest fear,that when the poor have nothing left to eat,they will eat the rich.i am grateful to God that i can say i am very comfortable but can we honestly say we are able to enjoy our hard earned money(for those of us that really worked at it) without fear of kidnappers,armed robbers etc.we need to fix the issues and i do hope our "kings" have finally woken up to their responsibilities.thank you
I used to respect the ooni when i was a lot younger.however he has thrown that away by dining with the devils.his coy was given the road construction works for the ife -ondo road.the job was shoddily and cheaply done and never completed.without us fooling ourselves we know what happened to the monies.and i asked myself then,if he cant uplift and upgrade the roads passing through his town,how much more others contracted to his firm.but the most beautiful part of this life we are all passing thru is that none of us is taking this monies to heaven.
